I would have loved to be friends with George Michael. He seemed such a warm, down to earth, funny, lovely guy. Love Martin Kemp too.

I agree Debbie, I think knowing now how George felt alone in his latter years if only someone knocked on his door and said you are loved. But unfortunately with fame it doesn't work that way, people assume you want to be left alone, and unfortunately that becomes the undoing for these lovely souls.

I met George Michael twice in LA and he was a sweetheart both times. A true talent and gentleman ❤ . Martin Kemp is a very handsome class act, and I'm sure George is happy that his best friend is safe and taken well care of with Martin.❤

Absolutely , I am a simple man from the ordinary life and I met and was in George Michaels company for a weekend. I was introduced through a friend who was married to George’s Aunt . And I can tell you he was a pure gentleman, He had just split from Wham , he was at his Aunts for the weekend and the craic and fun everyone had with George was . Well I will live with the honour of being in his presence.

Those who knew him personally and are also in the business, which Kemp has always been in one form or another, but we’re also best of friend since a young age, the loss that is felt is different. Especially best friends before the career in the Music , industry. during and after. Best friends! It’s no where near the same loss that a fan feels. Not saying fans don’t feel a tremendous loss. But not like Andrew, Shirley, Kemp, Pepsi and others that followed from the band Wham and remained with him. Totally different relation ship I Andy feels it the worse! Especially not really knowing what happened and the industry. So your wrong it’s different!

I will never forget when he passed I saw it on sky news and called my mum to tell her she was so shocked and upset she loves George Michael. The media were utter cunts to him over the years I'm glad all these charities came out in support of him and told the world what a lovely generous guy he was. I tend to take everything that celebrities say with a very large pinch of salt (just like I do "politicians") but this appeared very heartfelt and I just don't think Martin Kemp is a good enough actor to pull this off so convincingly if he didn't genuinely mean what he was saying.

I really like this clip. A lot was said about George Michael but he was a really good person. He was a mega star at one point, but he was always just a down to earth guy. He made mistakes and was perhaps troubled at times. But we all do that and he was a gentleman and very honest. His great friend Martin Kemp, in this clip, is also a really decent person.

You know, maybe this is why George Michael could write songs like Careless Whisper and Praying for Time, he was a fantastic songwriter storyteller, because first and foremost he was an empathetic, caring person and great listener. Couple that with his musical ability and uncanny knack for crafting pop music. He was a tremendous talent.

Lovely Martin Kemp brought tears to my eyes when he paid tribute to George. It is very sad that for many years all the press were interested in was writing something seedy about George. Why do they always do it in the UK? We get someone so talented, so kind and generous but our press just loves to tear them to shreds.
@catmadwoman63174 жыл бұрын
Because scandal sells papers more than 'nice' news - all the world over. Plus the UK is a small island, whereas the states is enormous with different papers for different parts. Here our papers are sold in every part of the UK. The UK still loved George whatever they printed.
