I remember I went to the primitive signing at the Active HQ in Rancho Cucamonga. Such an awesome guy my first time meeting him was holding the DVD copy of this video “Yeah Right” and I was nervous having PROD sign it because a lot of the other skaters there were saying he isn’t going to sign it because he is trying to start his company. I go up to him shake his hand then I ask him “May you sign this video please, I watched your part and I never knew you were on Girl Skatebords” after that he laughed and said “well I appreciate you bringing this because this was my first video part and his first time going Pro for a Skateboarding Company.” After that I’ve cherished the gifts he gave my sister and I after the Demo and will forever cherish the photo I took with him! Thank you Paul Rodriguez You are the GOAT!

It's so interesting watching him look back and think, "damn, I was good back then," as if he's lost it... because he's still incredible. Yeah, he's older and physically not as "bouncy and light" as he was then (time takes all of that from us), but he's still that guy. Kinda shows the mentality of always wanting to be at the top of the game that all the greats have. You're the man, P-Rod.

Watching the old 411VM's and in general the mid 90's-early 00's VHS' really puts a lump in my throat. I remember extremely fondly how alot more than just a chunk of my childhood I'd either have friends over watching skate vids, or I'd be at theirs watching videos, or we'd be out skating the jankiest asphalt with some sketchy makeshift rails we found about, if we didn't skate a known spot. Even WAY out in the woods at our grandparents' house we'd ask them to drive the car out of the garage during winter so we could make a small park in there and they let us. Forever grateful. Time really did fly.
