@jake holland that stairset at umkc is fucking huge. Seeing it in person is wild. Same with the river market 10. My grandparents used to live in that building. I'd go watch all the escapist dudes before I'd embarrass myself on it

@@hfffju7913 Lol what are you even talking about? His popping foot was on the complete wrong side of the tail for it to be a fs pressure flip, plus a fs pressure would probably be harder down a gap than a hardflip. Also you can clearly see his front foot flick...

Frankie Hill Grass Gap. That caused the biggest wildfire of OH SHIT of any trick in a video back in my day. People told you that you couldn't believe it until you saw it and they were right.

If his truck didn't break on that El Toro tre flip he would probably be considered the best skater of all time. He's up there anyway but holy shit that is the biggest heartbreak in skateboarding history. Unbelievable he even tried that much less rode away for 10 feet or more. Ollied it first try both times he went there to skate it, absolute animal

Reynolds KF, It’s 17 stairs, so not as tall as El Toro, but there’s a 5.5ft. Gap in the middle of the sets so it’s for sure longer.

Pat Duffy's part in Questionable was way ahead of its time. He was also not pro at that time. His part in Virtual Reality was his first part as a pro and that part was also way ahead of it's time.

Think it was Streets of Fire where Natas actually has 2 parts, the board slide is the ender in 1st part. Could have been the kickflip gap or the handrail

The thing thats crazy about the Carlos clip is that his foot is actually rotated on the tail before the pop so his toe is facing backward. It's like a nollie type snap foot position. Insane.

In my mind, the Brandon Biebel "Yeah Right" ender is forever imprinted in my brain. First part, one of my first videos ever watched, nollie 360flip (which wasn't done alot back then in that time), but the fact that he mouths "fuck" after is insane to me. I will always remember that. I still have the issue of Thrasher Magazine with that sequence, it features Tom Pennys kickflip in the pipe from his "REALLY sorry" part. Legendary stuff!

Kirchart is a skaters skater.. he took some of the gnarliest slams too.. i was most impressed by him from a trick he DIDN'T land.. and was in the credits.. of Sight Unseen.. multiple near lands of a front lip down one of the steepest, longest handrails i'd ever seen.. dude skates fast as hell too.. those attempts cemented him as one of the gnarliest ever imo Also, if he was really hung up about putting someone black on his list, lol.., he should have gone with Bastien! I can't even pin-point which clip to go with, haha,, but he could throw down some bangerangs

I will never ever forget watching Jerry Hsu’s nollie back heel. That feeling was priceless. Cole’s kf bs nose blunt and kostons tre nose blunt. There are so many iconic ones but those pop right out in my 36 y.o mind. Prods switch flip at the end of in bloom just popped in too. Me and my friends watched that tape over and over and over and over and we always got real quiet during Koston’s part, especially the ender. I had no idea he filmed it the night before the premiere, that’s dope af. That shit blew my mind, we had never seen anything like that before

In 2002, I saw Erik Koston skating down Robson St. in Vancouver with an entourage following him after Slam City Jam. He did about 20 flat ground tricks in a row with the crowd cheering behind him. He was so good back in the day.
