Little cool fact(?): If you notice how vampires been fighting this show, they use their strength and speed to use their hands as blades and in the entire fight with Alucard and Dracula, through a few frames you see Dracula's sharpened hands curl to a fist to soften his blows against Alucard to subtly show his hesitation in killing his boy.

“I must already be dead.” ;_; Part of Castlevania’s lasting appeal is the amazing orchestral music by composer Michiru Yamane. This episode's finale broke my heart. "I'm killing our boy." As someone who lost his father a few years ago and have since become a father myself, I don't know... it hit hard. @jacobjorgensen729 Жыл бұрын
If you notice, Dracula bounces back and forth emotionally between a few things before ultimately surrendering to Alucard's perspective. He's in denial, full of hate and revenge, when it comes to Alucard and how they differ over Lisa's death. He's annoyed by Sypha's pesky magic. He's amused and sporting when it comes to Trevor. You can hear the smile on his face when he says "you must be the Belmont". So during the fight, he enjoys part of it, hates part of it, and is annoyed by part of it, showing his emotional range and volatility. In the end, he's confronted with the truth, and he finally accepts it. One of the best villains, fr.

Many people miss the little bit at the beginning of the fight when Trevor is laying out their plan. "I terrify them.." isn't a flex. Did you see how the vampires all stopped fighting when they entered the doorway. That's because Trevor is a Belmont. The Belmonts are rumored to have traces of holy based magic in their blood. The vampires can sense this and immediately afraid of it. It's what gives the Belmonts an edge in fighting unholy creatures. The rest of the plan is self explanatory.
@TheeKorovaMilkBar Жыл бұрын
I just want to point out that Godbrand mentioned that he didn't think Dracula had fed since his wife's death. This wasn't even him at his fullest and he was still an unstoppable vampire sorcerer that *_allowed_* Alucard to put him out of his misery. I've heard a lot of complaints of people saying that Dracula was horribly nerfed for this series. And while I would've loved to see how Warren Ellis interpreted one of his many "One Winged Angel" forms, there's just no way he wouldn't have broke the story and I actually thought it was kind of genius at how they provided an explanation as to why Dracula hadn't gone full demigod on the Human race.

I do agree that Dracula was the soul of the show up until now. In that regard i see not wanting to kill him. But it honestly woundnt make sense for any of the characters to just talk to him. And in terms of narrative im glad alucard didnt hesitate. Death to dracula was a mercy at this point Alucard knew this and Dracula realized that too in the end. Dracula just walking away after a father/son moment would feel anticlamatic.

From Alucard's wolf and mist forms, the music (bloody tears is timeless and was literally written as an 8 bit chip tune theme) to that last shot of them looking at the castle over the sunset. That's the image on screen when the NES game credits roll. Lisa wasn't Dracula's first major loss. Back when he was Mathias Cronqvist, a friend to Leon Belmont during the 11th century, he had a wife that fell ill and died while he was on an expedition for the Church. That was when Dracula came to be after disavowing God and used alchemy to turn himself into a creature of the night. That was also the time when the Belmont clan vowed to chase Dracula to the ends of the Earth to rid it of his evil. Dracula was right to be pissed at the Church once more after giving them another chance after the events during the 11th century. Once more, the supposed holy men had betrayed him and it cost him his wife Lisa. He's such a tragic villain, and the fact that he would later on be used to further other people's desire for power and conquest by resurrecting him just paints him further as a victim more than a villain.

Here we go. Other people have already brought this up, but that epic track that playing, during the equally epic battle with the vampires, is Bloody Tears; that, alongside Vampire Killer, are the game series most iconic tracks. In Symphony of The Night, Alucard can transform into a wolf, a bat, and mist. That massive ball of magma, Dracula launched at our heroes, is called Dark Inferno; an attack Dracula's used in several games. And finally, most Castlevania games end with the protagonist staring at the ruins of Dracula's castle as "the morning sun has vanquished the horrible night"; except in this case they're staring at the Belmont estate.

Yyyyeah, “throuple” isn’t the answer to “I wasn’t ready and was only able to _help_ my dad commit suicide.” Ya boy needed therapy, or the closest thing he could get, before that would have come back to the table.
@kitasukirimi988 Жыл бұрын
@@alecLogan Obviously, but ‘the closest thing he could get’ as you said, would’ve been his friends! It would’ve been nice to see all three of them together just being them with Alucard having an emotional support system. Then when he’s emotionally stable and ready (and if he was willing) they could consider having a relationship together.
@alecLogan Жыл бұрын
@@kitasukirimi988 Not to harp on it, but I still don’ know about that. Case in point, Lisa was doing that exactly for Dracula, softening his edges, and losing her did _this_ to him. Never mind that we’ve seen the “average folk” be exceedingly ready to be rid of the last known Belmont and a group of Speakers (with the _one_ among this group an easy mark to consider a ‘witch’ by those that don’t care to learn), and Alucard himself is a vampire in a country recently besieged by vampires and demons. Speaking of, those are definitely still just _out and about_ , so even if they had stuck together (furthermore as a throuple), Alucard’s recovery would have taken (even) more of a backseat. TL;DR being, not that there’s no chemistry, but tactically, they had to split.
@kitasukirimi988 Жыл бұрын
@@alecLoganThere was no ‘tactical’ reason, they split up because they had defeated the imminent threat and Sypha wanted to go joyriding through the country with her romantic partner. Also, you’re forgetting the fact that Dracula was a mass murderer for centuries and not just some dude who lost his wife. He himself said “that woman was the only reason for me to tolerate human life”, Lisa may have kept him happy and placid but he was always a disaster waiting to happen. Now in our hypothetical throuple scenario, we agreed that a relationship should only happen with an emotionally healthy and mentally well Alucard. So with that in mind, there would be no reason for him to snap if Trevor and Sypha were to die. He’d be devastated of course but he’d grieve normally and not just start slaughtering everyone in a nearby radius. Remember also that even when his mother got killed, he said “I grieve with you but I won’t let you commit genocide”. PS. Sypha and Trevor are very tough people, Alucard wouldn’t have to worry much about them getting killed in the first place. The three of them have bested armies and army generals alike, Dracula, and the literal personification of death. Sypha, Alucard and Trevor are together an unbelievable force to be reckoned with, as long as they had each other they could’ve handled whatever came their way. Also if we’re talking about them just passing away naturally, I’m sure Alucard would’ve already made peace with the fact that he would outlive them eventually.

And now, Bloody Tears. Our trio got a fantastic fight scene before facing the big man himself, Sypha 'Fatality' Belnades earning her name especially showing off her magic as she tears through vampire lords effortlessly. Alas poor Isaac, he was willing to die for Dracula and even though Dracula gave him mercy, he also threw him back to square one; alone and angry in the burning sun. But Dracula himself is a different level of beast, the trio struggling even in his weakened state and not really winning either because he lets them kill him - though there is a lot of fun with Trevor punching him and Dracula being 'there's only one family alive stupid enough to fistfight me...' completely unflinching. The end is truly heartbreaking though, Dracula dying after a brief reclamation of humanity...and then Trevor with the kill steal XD in the end though Vlad Tepes got what he wanted: it's over, one way or the other.
