Maybe it’s just Jensen Ackles’ charisma, but I never bought into Soldier Boy being as bad as him. Obviously he was the Homelander predecessor & everyone hated him. We saw in the animation & thru his subtle insults/threats that he’s definitely not a good person. It just seemed more logical to let him take out Homelander because they can just gas Soldier Boy at anytime, plus he seems more tame nowadays. Homelander is a wild tornado that has no known weakness. They should’ve let him pulled the trigger because now they’re in an even worse state than they were when the season started. All they did was remove a problem they released & now there are lasting consequences.

The way he was staring at Noir's helmet, I'd say A-Train leaves the Seven and joins The Boys next season. Also, with the way Homelander rushed to Ryan's aid with his back to Soldier Boy knowing full well he's the biggest threat he's ever faced as well as telling him to go upstairs during the fight, I really believe he loves Ryan as his son. And that love will eventually lead to Homelander's downfall. Ryan will be his weakness. Butcher will probably exploit it.
@bakagakure64352 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I feel like Marketa got the wrong message from Homelander bringing Ryan. He wanted to show SB that they can be a family together, which he wanted from the beginning
@anon36002 жыл бұрын
A-Train joining The Boys is a good theory, but I don't think that was the point of the scene. The point of that shot with Black Noir's helmet was to show the hypocrisy in Homelanders words as he's lecturing A-Train about killing "one of their own"
@bernardsoul51862 жыл бұрын
It would be great to have A-Train on the Boys' side, but I think it will take a lot more for that to happen. A-Train has always been about staying in his lane and doing what he knows. He would be pretty lost working for the Boys; for one, he'd be operating in the shadows when he's used to the spotlight and showbiz. Secondly, I doubt he has any faith in them being able to actually succeed in anything, and his main thing is self-preservation. Lastly, as much as he hates Homelander, Ashley, and the Deep, at least he can relate to them, they speak the same language.

I know some people were disappointed with the finale, but I loved it. I loved the arcs everyone had throughout the season. Hughie learning his real strength. Starlight finally getting to be a hero after being Vought's corporate tool for so long. Kimiko getting to own her powers on her own terms. Even Ashley starting to show And MVP of this episode for me, Maeve being the first character in the whole show to give Homelander a serious beating (on her own, too), and getting to be the hero as well. And who knows if that stab right through the ear will actually do some lasting damage? I was hoping A-Train would join the fight. At this point it seems like he's got nothing to lose and when he was looking at Noir's helmet, it almost seemed like he was ready to stand up against Homelander. Kudos to Jessie Usher. As much as A-Train can be despicable, he made me feel sorry for him in the scene with his brother. Also props to Cameron Crovetti (Ryan). He almost slightly mimics Homelander's expressions in looking genuinely naive at times but with that manic twist underneath (like in that last scene where he started to smile). Damn I'll miss Jensen Ackles in Season 4. He was the best addition to the show by far for me and was so damn fun to watch. And his performance especially in the "He said I took a shortcut" scene was so damn good. Him acting alongside Urban and Starr was by far my favorite part of the season and was a highlight of the whole show for me. And #JusticeForBlackNoir :(

What's crazy is that I loved the rawness of Banshee but totally didn't realize that was the same actor. Totally felt like an idiot. I really couldn't see it til just recently.

What I thought was the only bummer of the episode other than Noir dying was Annies massive power up that was so anti-climactic and the only thing it did was shove Soldier Boy down rofl

-I was really hoping that homelander would defend noir from soldier boy, he was too hurt from being lied to his whole life by someone he thought he could trust though. -Maeve not dying after she fell from a skyscraper with no powers was kind of Bs too but she's a likeable character so I'll overlook it. - They hyped tf out of starlight being overcharged only for her attack to be the equivalent of a strong push. Starlight is probably the weakest supe other than the deep. Even Atrain was making her powers look silly in season 1.
@samgoldberg11612 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing with Maeve. But at least they gave her a nice ending to her arc. The scene with Noir was sad because I wanted to see him try to face his bully in Solider boy. But it is in line for Homelander to do that so can't get too down about it. Should have seen it coming
@ricardomiles29572 жыл бұрын
In terms of power i think it was just to highlight that she from now on will learn to fly or learn to use her "overcharge". Probably to compesate for Soldier and Maeve being out.
@condorgaming40002 жыл бұрын
@@ricardomiles2957 she probably will be able to fly from now on but aren't they in NYC? She should have overcharge on 24/7 flying around that place. Not like she's in the middle of nowhere. Turning up the lights in a studio was kinda dumb imo.

Ryan couldn't have possibly died because of soldier boy's blast. Come on, he's Homelander's son and he killed Stormfront so yeah he's powerful. Kimiko and Maeve survived the blast also. Man, soldier boy was doing the right thing and despite finding out that homelander is his son he was still going to kill him and fullfill his end of the deal but Butcher fucked everything up. This Finale was not at all satisfying. It feels like just a build up for season 4 which is ok...but they could have done it better.

Soldier Boy is a lot of things but at least the man is loyal and keeps his word. He was going to kill his own blood because of his loyalty to Butcher yet Butcher was the one who betrayed him.

Whiskey sours, white russians, colorado bulldogs, literally tons of really common ones. I think like 7 of the drinks on the menu where I work have egg whites in them to create the froth on top

Eggnog with Root beer is so damn good. Like maybe 2/3 eggnog and 1/3 root beer. Or half and half of each. When I drank I liked putting 1/4 Root Beer, 1/2 Eggnog, and 1/4 Spiced Rum.

The amount of Homelander sympathy in the comments is pretty disturbing lol. People defending a guy who forcibly separated a child from his mother, forced a girl to commit suicide and was planning on harvesting Maeve's reproductive organs and people are like "hE's JuSt MiSsUnDeRsToOd"

Pat really outthought all of them there. they shot the scene to make it very clear Ryan was telling Homelander he wanted to leave to save Butcher and the rest. He's still becoming more of a shithead too fast by the last scene with him but he did do that on purpose to save them all.

@pamoweiberezi53152 жыл бұрын
Wasn't a bad finale,just underwhelming. After everything been set up perfectly to take down homelander,the writers just de-escalated things. First by killing noir,which wasn't a bad twist,but would have made more sense if homelander betray him to soldier boy,as a peace offering,kinda like how butcher did with crimson countess,then if that fails,bring in Ryan. Speaking of Ryan,are you telling me no one could just take him away from the tower while the rest dealt with homelander? The most "butcher thing" to do will be to knock ryan out,say "sorry kid" and go back to take on homelander,then if that fails,Ryan wakes up to hate butcher even more because he "betrayed" him. Also,Nadia was already built up like a villain to take out last season,I don't know why they do the same this season like it's new,she took a backsit when soldier boy entered the picture. Speaking of soldier boy, it's convenient he doesn't join homelander instead when butcher turned on him,I mean Noir,the last member of payback was already taken care of and both of them are against Edgar,what would have happened then? I think the writers are scared of killing off homelander,seeing as Antony starr has done an excellent job. Overall,it was a decent season, looking forward to season 4
@ricardomiles29572 жыл бұрын
Homelander was clearly emotionally shook by lots of things to be that reasonable. And he was expecting to be talking to caring father at the point not a enemy. Nadia is just making her moves, in the bigger picture of this season she wasn't important for the boys to take notice until the very end. Ryan is easy. His nightmare trip clearly showed him that always being the though love type can backfire. Besides if ryan already decide to go to homelander. Unless they tried to novishok him there would be nothing preveting to killing everyone and flying away. Welll that's the simplest. The only thing about homelander that mattered for soldier boy was he being his son. He wanted to take care of a family. When he saw what homelander was, just like him, anything that he could be to soldier boy vanished.
