Did they all just miss that Daemon choked Rhaenyra when she brought up the song of ice and fire, the secret among Targaryen kings and their heirs that his brother Viserys never once thought him worthy enough to share with? That's the reason. His frustration with Viserys, his denial of heirship, trust and love of his brother, and his jealousy over Rhaenyra all coming together into a complicated emotion that he can only let out in the one way he knows how: violence. Anger is easier for Daemon to access than to sit in his emotions.

Honestly I really appreciate them bringing in the intensity of childbirth into the story. Like women giving birth is often thrown around in these stories like it's popping a zit or some other minor nuisance. This really depicts how childbirth before modern medicine is a near-death experience and there's a LOT about being human that comes from this. I knew right away with the graphic C-section in episode 1 that this show was going to pay the mothers in the series the respect they deserve. More or less how Aemma put it. Women might not have been risking their lives on the battlefield, but they were still fighting battles of their own. I just like to see the show pay credit to that. But also, it helps show that Rhaenyra is an absolute BEAST. She had Joffrey and then walked all the way to the queen right after. Baby chokegaryen comes in a meeting and she's like "shit, I'll just deliver this myself", grabs a chair, bends over literally saying "get out...get OUT" and continuing politics in the meantime. Like this is how I imagine Toph gave birth to her kids.

You guys seemed to miss that Rhaenyra knew about a song of ice and fire and its prophecy while Daemon didn't, meaning the whole time Daemon was Viserys' heir, he was never told about the prophecy. So a large part of why he choked her was his probable realization that Viserys never intended Daemon to be his heir. Only the heirs are told about the prophecy.

Luke didn't order Arrax to attack Vhagar, Arrax did that because he sensed that Luke was scared (and so was Arrax) cause their dragon/dragon rider bond was very in tune. Aemond and vhagar aren't bonded very well if at all because there is no regard for any of the orders that aemond has given her thus far. But Luke never ordered Arrax to spit fire at Vhagar and you can even hear him say "Arrax NO!" when he does. Luke was well aware of the fact that he and Arrax could not take on Vhagar--they were both scared out of their minds and Arrax only attacked to defend Luke :(

Both she AND Rhaenyra suffer under a patriarchal system of governance, and both loose so much. Alicent however; -Looses her mother. -Forced to seduce the father of her childhood BEST FRIEND. -Consistently manipulated by her father. -Is lied to by the one person she actively goes out of her way to aid. -Is forced as a human baby factory, and is treated like a cum processor rather than a person. -Has her second youngest child, her child loose an eye over family drama. -Looses her deepest connection. (Rhaenyra who Alicent loved most.) -And then looses her husband, who while far older, it’s clear she did love him. Both characters are the product of their previous generation, and both fuck up a multitude of times. Invalidating Alicent’s suffering is just like overlooking Rhaenyra’s, it misses the whole point of their conflict. Both of them are the same, both are being forced into morally complicated and very akward situations due to the schemes of others, and their lack of preparedness.

The "Daemon! Why?" question - it's about the prophecy. Daemon was Viserys' heir for a decade - but when Rhaenyra starts talking about the song of ice and fire, and how Viserys shared it with his heir, with the assumption that Daemon ALSO knew this information... Well, Daemon is suddenly shown, without a doubt, that Viserys never really saw him as the heir. He's hurt, and he's angry, and he's Daemon - hence the violent, aggressive lashing out and the disparaging rant about useless dreams. It's why Rhaenyra's reaction is not to actually be upset, per se, but to suddenly see Daemon in a different light - and finally understand that her father truly trusted her as the heir.

14:47 the same theme that played after Rhaenyra saw the White Hart, again symbolizing she's the leader the realm is choosing. Erryk is giving me holy warrior vibes, almost like Rhaenyra is a joan of ark level holy queen in his eyes. This theme of her being protector of the realm is echoed in her lack of wanting to wage war. Specifically war with the dragons as the countryside will burn. Daemon wants to use them, almost like they're nukes, but she wants to protect the realm. They end the season in such a sweet way. In a beautiful call back to the last line of the epilogue, "the only thing that can tear down the house of the dragon was itself." As Rhaenyra turns and looks like she's embraced the need to be a dragon.

Daemon's point was that he knows how those people think and act and they have been planning this war for years now. Now Rhaenys allowed them to live, and Rhaenyra didn't attack them immediately despite superior firepower yet at the first opportunity they murdered Lucerys.

People need to understand Vhagar is a WAR dragon for Aemond to use it a play thing was the downfall of the situation,dragon are connected to their dragon. Rhaenyra was is in pain during the birth so Syrax was reacting to it. Daemon wants to intimidate Caraxes will cacth on that feeling. Lucerys is scared, Arrax will pick up on that. Aemond wanted his eye and give chase Vhagar being a war dragon will clearly choose killing.He did try a few times to chomp on Arrax before Arrax hit Vhagar him with the fire.So it was not Lucerys or Arrax fault.
