In the manga Gluttony wasn't alone, when he attacked Hawkeye; Envy was nearby. In addition to keeping an eye on Gluttony, Envy was on the lookout for Barry and whoever was helping him; but he soon realized that someone was on the lookout for him. I'll go into details about what happened, next time; it's quite the story, and both a tragedy and a crime that it was left out of the anime.

I’m honestly disappointed that they were so quick to turn on Mustang. After watching so much tv, they have to have enough media literacy to know something was up. With Roy acting completely out of character, Maria’s “body” being so charred it was unrecognizable, and all the military officers we trust were going on leave at the same time. Plus Mustang pretty clearly telling Armstrong to go on leave in the East where the “beautiful women” are, and then Armstrong comes to kidnap Edward without giving any details. The writing was all over the walls
