Dr. Knox reuniting with his estranged wife and son was very heartwarming. They didn't really explain or show much of his story in the anime, but the reason Knox left his wife and son was because of what happened in Ishval. Knox was traumatized and disgusted with himself for what he did in Ishval. He and Marcoh dissected and experimented on Ishvalans, and there was even a moment he had that was similar to Hawkeye asking Mustang why they were killing people instead of saving them. As a doctor, that question really hit him hard. It's why talking about treating live patients and being an actual doctor that helps people is such a sore spot for him now. Other than that, Knox also started having horrible nightmares and he would thrash around in his sleep. It got to the point where his wife got so worried that she tried waking him up in the middle of the night, he mistook her as the enemy, and tried killing her right there in their bed. After that, his entire life with his family changed and he eventually separated from them. Also, the little town Envy was talking about was the one where Marcoh was hiding out at. The one that Envy threatened to wipe out if Marcoh didn't do what they say. Oh, it was also Ross! The one that Fu helped to cross the desert to Xing.

You have to keep in mind that Fu is Lan Fan's grandfather and commanding officer. So him slapping and scolding her for failing in one moment and then breaking into tears over his granddaughter's lost arm the very next moment perfectly depicts their complicated relationship. North hype!!!

I am pretty certain they were talking about Liore. They were trying to cause an uprising by giving the Philosopher's stone to Cornello however with Ed and Al defeat Cornello their plan was stalled. Liore is a pivotal point (similar to Ishval) in their plan which I won't spoil.

Taylor A By this time they had already gotten Liore. They didn't need Kimbley to cause more trouble since they had already made the townspeople fight each other. You also have to remember the context of the situation: Envy was just talking about Marco, and they told Marco beforehand that if he resists them they'll have everyone in his town killed.

With the coffee scene, I always preferred the Sub version, where he said, "God, if you exist, please OVERLOOK this." Which implies that what he's actually saying is, "I know it isn't just for me to have a moment of happiness, could you please look away for a few minutes, even though I don't deserve it."

The Dub's version is more in line with the Abrahamic view of God which this whole series takes symbolism from. Plus the Characters exist in an anime version of Germany. The Abrahamic God never looks away or turns his back no matter who asks and the Dub's version presents Knox as instead asking God for the mercy of having coffee with his family which is more in line with Europe's theology

Well you'd be wrong there, Ishval will always linger but we're not gonna explore more about it, everything you need to know at this point you know Did you say Puff-Lipped General? Ed would also like Winry's Apple Pie if you're catchin' ma drift! Fuery is named after the Fury Biplane, you can't pick your surname, especially in the company of Falman (Fall Man), Hawkeye, Mustang, Elric, Havoc and Armstrong Man you shouldn't joke about these things, remember what happened to Hughes FU! Good fucking lord it is the easiest name no-one remembers XD Maria Ross...and yes he has Mustang visits his public intelligence network, Madam Christmas and her very eligible ladies. Nothing loosens a man's lips like liquor and women ;) But he's also using it to get a secure line to Eastern Command Mentor and Hawkeye's Grandfather General Grumman - the man who gave him the chess board. They know her real face though, Bradley saw it first hand, as did Envy since it transformed into her when fighting Ling. In addition Gluttony would know her scent and Greed would know given that he and Ling share a body FUNNY YOU SHOULD SAY THAT. But yes, I explained in a past comment but Knox was a surgeon who became a pathologist in the war, testing on corpses regarding burns on flesh - thus his knowing of Mustang - after the war he felt that he lost the right to treat live patients and had severe PTSD. One night, while having a nightmare, he mistook his wife for an Ishvalan assassin trying to kill him as she tried to wake him, attacking her in defense, she survived and he came around, but it dissolved their marriage and she left with their son, both realising that he was too dangerous to be around at this time. Knox's reunion with his family though is one of those overlooked sweet moments in the show, it's so damn heartwarming to see a character as troubled as Knox get a little win, a reward for his - albeit begrudging at face value - aid towards the good guys, including treating May and Lan Fan. And so we get to Kimblee and why he's in jail, he killed all those officials because they knew he had to stone. It also shows that among many of his sociopathic talents he can also regurgitate things he swallows, like an escape artist. This is important, because with the stone he needn't use his hands, he could escape at any time, but he was waiting, biding his time. Oh does the man have high connections...and one hell of a tailor The trick he pulls on the warden also shows the potential Kimblee can do with psychological warfare, he's not just some explosions nut, he's conniving and methodical. He could've killed the warden, but instead he embarrassed him, completely shifted his former hierarchy by rendering the man that was his superior in prison a panicked mess begging Kimblee for his life, the warden will never forget that. Amestris is the country, the town Envy is mentioning is the Village Marcoh was a doctor in while hiding from the law, Lust's deal with Marcoh was that if he complied with them the village would be safe, leaving with Scar also throws the deal out of the window Surprise! Marcoh's alive, but in a brutal and metal moment, Scar basically destroys his face! Quick reminder that Scar is a dangerous and complex character, neither villain, hero or antihero, but at least now Team Scar has its fourth, the Brains. With Scar as the main, May as the Special Ability fighter and Yoki as the wimp We must go North, Indeed Winter is Coming for FMA Then watch another eeeeep Winry is still an important character, would you rather not see her? Yeah it's kinda specific, but so many have given you a list of which ones are Given that you're probably filming this back in June, I can say without spoiling that North is the new destination of Part 3. The pace slows a little but that's because new info is coming out, the Elrics and Mustang now know how outmatched they are, how far the corruption spreads and now is not the time to be rash Kimblee is human, the giveaway is that he can perform alchemy. The Homunculi, save for Father, cannot perform Alchemy since they're artificial, they have no Portal of Truth. Bradley and Greed could perform it but did not learn it since they have a human element. Homunculi DO NOT need to be bound to a human body. Bradley and Greed are special cases, you can make a Homunculus purely from making a body powered by a stone, as Father had done with the other sins including the first Greed, merging it with a human however allows for a human template which means less souls spent making a body, it also makes it easier for them to infiltrate society since they can age. Technically speaking, Ed used Envy's stone to transmute him, Ling and Envy out of Gluttony's stomach, that was the toll that was paid, he expressed great regret in doing so despite it thanking him. Fu's reaction to Lan Fan losing her arm was more of an angered sadness, immediately after he acknowledged it was truly gone, calling her a 'fool' out of fear and relief for his granddaughter's life The Homunculi are keeping an eye on them, but they have Hawkeye and Winry as hostages, Winry unwittingly since she doesn't know about the Homunculi. They agreed that Ed and Al could continue their search to return to their bodies as long as they did not move against them Y'all be causing Havoc with these puns

Well, lets not say just children (although we all know young kids love watching R-Rated movies and playing age-restricted games), but anime certainly attracts a far younger audience ... teens and early twenties perhaps, for the majority. The point is still valid however, a significant portion of the more mature/older reaction audience have little-to-no interest in watching cartoons, let alone reactions thereof.
