Yes on a video about spiritual psychosis and the alt right pipeline! I would share that everywhere. It's a real thing I've seen people go down and that I'm seeing increasingly on social media, very scary.

Yes I would like a video on this as well, someone close to me experienced this, luckily not leading to alt-right views, but the spiritual psychosis was difficult enough. I’d like to hear more opinions on this topic from others who have experienced this first or second hand as well.

"Energetic bleaching": yup, no. Definitely agree with your thoughts about natural items and their energy, but also there are some items that the whole reason I have that item is for the energy it brings! For example, there are some things of my mother's and grandmother's that I would never cleanse because their energy is precious to me.

Hot take: I don't care much about colour magic. It can be a very useful tool to get unto the right energetic mindset and 'channel' for your working but it isn't necessary. Colour associations are highly cultural and personal, so while I have some colored tools and components, I tend to intuitively reach for black versions of candles, cords etc.

Regarding a spell bottle for money, I thought, "I have a money spell bottle and it has totally worked! Wait, mine was for saving money..." I had issues with impulsive spending, so using a bottle for 'holding' something actually made perfect sense for my money bottle lmao Regarding mixing pantheons, I'm primarily Hindu and worship Saraswati, but I love Apollo and Ares as well. No issues so far.

For period blood, i think it's great for spellwork when it applies. Example - i used my own for a protection jar for a friend who is very much close to me like an offspring (but they're an adult). They very much consented to me using it. It felt very much like a motherly usage of it. And it powered the spell up a lot! But i agree i wouldn't give it as an offering lol.

RE: biodegradable stuff - I wouldn't only go by whatever it says on the "container" in the shops either. Technically everything is biodegradable... eventually. I don't think it legally has to specify how long it takes to break down either. Green-washing is a problem :/ One example: toilet wipes. Horrible for pipes and water processing. I'm still looking for a better alternative to hot glue/super glue to fasten my charm bottles together (wax won't hold well enough, natural glues need a lot of work) - if there's a *good* environmentally friendly glue that comes in a bottle, I'd love to know. Then I'll feel better about disposing of old charms in the ground.

I am a norse pagan and vegan. I have sworn an oath to Frey that I won't hurt an animal or pay for theyr suffering. And I mostly work with Idunn and try with her help to live healthier. Especially a vegan diet is proven to have positive benefits to your health. I had always problems with my weight being to high. Through my work with Idunn I lost 35kg until now. So practise with her and being vegan is possible. And I actually also work with Thor. And I don't feel that's a problem 😂

These were great! I do wish there was more room on insta to go in more depth. I'm an animist too and beleive everything has a spirit, while at the same I beleive that my cards don't know things like the future but the arcana of tarot is sympathetic to energies in the universe and that information flows into the cards. Like the canvas has a spirit and the image and writting on it allow it to channel in the knowledge like a medium(person). Hope that makes sense. I love hearing how eveyone's practice is unique and personal to them ❤

Heyo! Referring to the godspousing/sexual relations one, I do interact with deity in unique ways and there are actually plenty of books on the subject of sex magic, spirituality in bdsm, and trance regarding sex. Using deity in that manner is just one conduit of inspiration and energy.
@TheNorseWitch
@TheNorseWitch Жыл бұрын
Oh I don’t doubt that sex can be used magickally, I do that myself! I also think Sex and masturbation can be a great offering to some deities and spirits. Where I would draw the line though is when people tell me they’re literally married to a deity. Sex on the astral with the deity? Probably rare but totally doable. Marrying them? I know it exists but it’s so rare that I feel like most people claiming to be married to a deity are LARPing

I don't know why people are so bothered by the term "baby witch", like it's demeaning. I think you're right- it's who uses it, and how it's used. Honestly, though...it's just another way to say "beginner witch". A "FUN" way to say it. And people get so worked up about it. Like, let it go! It's not that serious! I've seen people get so stupid about it that it ruins their day. Calm down, people. Also, working with different pantheons is cool, but you wouldn't want to ask one deity for help with something from one pantheon and ask another from another pantheon for the same thing. I think that's where the line is really drawn. Other than that, yeah, working with different pantheons is great!

It all depends on the context of how it is used. I haven't come across anyone using it in a derogatory manner yet but if they did I would disregard that person. Witches are a highly persecuted group of people, we need to support and uplift each other, not drag each other for being new.

Your last remarks on the mixing of pantheons of gods, totally makes sense. And I don't see why Asian gods couldn't work with Norse or the like. Buddhism came from Hinduism and entered the orient, adapting Hindu, Chinese, Japanese, etc gods into Buddhas and Bodhisattva. For example Kwan Yin was a Chinese goddess. So while the Himalayan mountains made travel to Europe and back more difficult, the same borrowing of deities happen on that side of the mountain. Besides, most European gods came from Indo-European stock, the same that created Hinduism. So there is a common link in a majority of pagan pantheons.

Another hot take: using sage is not a closed practice. Numerous indigenous people have reiterated this. You can grow your own sage, and harvest it for use if your are afraid of over cultivation of the herb. Smudging is a ritual practiced in many other cultures. People need to stop being offended on others behalf. My opinion on the "don't show your stuff" concept comes from the axiom "to know, to dare, to keep silent." More and more, I believe that the injunction to remain silent is not a remark on the efficacy of magick you work, but more or less protect the practitioner from those who have violent views regarding them.

Just food for thought, historically well definitely not common, veganism or respecting animal life is definitely a thing, I just learned that Pythagoras was vegan, that being more then a 2 thousand years old. In ancient Greece there was pagan paths specifically for “abstinence from beings with a soul” not to mention much of india and ancient religions such of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism mostly aligned with modern veganism. Jainism is one of the world's oldest religions, originating in India at least 2,500 years ago, one of its core beliefs being non-violence to sentient beings. Haha I heard of some vegans that have been sent to jail having to use Jainism as their religion right to have better food options, legal loophole I guess. Great vid! Just thought to share, I personally call myself a norse pagan who is vegan, no mead for me haha.

i’m the person that said people who do god spousing are crazy 😭 Let me clarify and delve into it a bit more. I wish instagram had more space for us to talk in the questions box. I think the way i see the majority of people go about it is crazy, rather than them being crazy as a person if that makes sense? (on tiktok or the Loki reddit is where i see it most often). I worded it that way because it’s upsetting to see people taking relationships with deities so… unserious to the point that it’s disrespectful. and like you said, i wasn’t referring to the people that practice in the traditional ways. Now that I think about it, the revelation that these upsetting behaviors might be spiritual psychosis is sad and i hope they find peace

I find the candle one a very interesting topic and I have to agree with a lot of it but also you have anointing oils that can take place for herbs that you can use for candles. I prefer to reuse my candle wax because it actually saves money and I can repurpose that wax for future use. In addition the term baby which was actually used by hereditary witches. To describe the babies born into their families as future witches. There are some hereditary witches that fine people labeling themselves new to the path as baby witches offensive and preferred for them to use the term as Seekers because they are seeking greater knowledge.😮

About the using your plants in your area and it not being cultural appropriation, I live in the south west desert very close to the reservation and I personally agree that if you are using plants that are used in a closed practice but you are not using them in the same way that is perfectly fine, it would be hard to connect to your local land spirits without running into a plant that is not used in native shamanism in my local area, I do not agree that you should use plants in the same manner or practice closed practices but as an example, people do weed and that is very heavily involved in native practices that are extremely closed but people still do it despite it and that is fine. Of course do not over harvest plants or harvest ones that are already in danger but I don’t see the harm in using a local plant in your practice that so happens to be used in a closed practice

My biggest take is this: If you are smoke cleansing or doing anything with herbs why are you not growing it yourself. I was looking into a luck spell and turned out i had almost all the herbs right in my window box. Herbs are super easy to grow with just a single full sun window and you can group them in the same container. I also bundle my own sage - common sage - for smoke sticks cause i disagree so hard with folks using white sage at all out here on the east coast.

In regards to “pagan practices, can’t be vegan” I believe that some pagan practices can’t be. Simply, because the offering to the spirits or gods is the life force of whatever is being sacrifice. As in old Norse blót. The blood itself was not what was being given to the gods and spirits. It was the life force that the blood carried. That is how some traditions are still practiced today such as Haitian Vodou.

We are all connected and every culture has the same archetypes with different names, my own cultures magical spiritual were not accepted in my house. Also my parents come from a very spiritual country but aren't really open to excepting that different places have their own version of that. I thankfully i didn't except this programming. So I've researched my own and other cultures on my own. I don't know everything obviously but I do believe there are people around who are meant to show the universality/ love/ connectedness in everything. Like someone whose norse pagan but works with pele as well. We are all here for each other in someway and we all have different angles to evolve. If you Are angry and channel that energy into something productive for the highest good, couldn't that be considered part of the love and light process. If you see menstrual blood as just waste it most likely means you need to connect with your womb, Man or women. It's not a negative judgment but Strong feelings like that are an indication on something with in. Thank you for what you do!!!!

Rule of 3 not random. There are 3 powers - Creative Sustaining and Destructive. Everything in the Universe has these 3. They are Maiden Mother Crone. Sculd Verdandi and Erde. Freya Frigga and Hella. Odin Thor and Loki. Every ancient tradition back to Paleolithic. Every spell has these 3. Expend energy and the Mother Goddess will return it to you, good or bad, all 3 aspects. So everything returns 3 fold. This is a law. Every quantum vibration has a rise crest and fall. Every item of matter has positive neutral and negative poles. Law of Nature. Mother Nature is tri-polar. Only She exists. Hail Great Mother!
@TheNorseWitch

We can’t press every single thing into 3s. Freyja, Frigg and Hel you say… what about Iðunn or Skaði? Odin, Thor and Loki. What about Heimdallr, Baldr, Freyr, Njorðr? And just because lots of things come in 3s that doesn’t mean that everything gets returned threefold. If it did, a lot of people should receive a lot of bad things. Fact is they don’t.

Please understand this is True ... Too much has been lost. Those are different names for the same deities. She/They have been given many names by many tribes over many generations. Skadi is Mother Earth. This means She is Matter. Matter is Mother. She is the Substratum of everything. Consciousness is Father. He is Jordr. She the Cosmic Mountain ... Matter, and He is Universal Consciousness ... the water near the shore. They are other names for Frey and Freya. In Hinduism they are Shiva and Shakti. Other traditions call them Inanna and Demuzi, Isis and Osiris etc. They were originally the Sun and Earth/Moon. These always represent Consciousness and Matter. These are the Lord and the Lady. Two forms of the same Cosmic or Quantum Energy. That Energy is sentient ... Great Mother, Nerthus. She also has many names. They have 3 aspects each ... Creative Sustaining and Destructive .. 3 and 3. The number 33 represents Her as Her aspects and as the Whole She is the 7th aspect ... The Whole One ... the Full Moon and the Universe as a Whole ... Earth. Earth originally meant Substratum. Her parts have been deified as the gods. She is Mother Nature. What I'm describing is real. She is real. I am not schizophrenic. People are waking up. Those who aren't need to. Everyone and everything is Her. I swear on all my female ancestors this is True!!! The gods are real. They are all aspects of Her. So are all living beings and so is the entire Universe. Hail Freya! Hail Frigga! Hail Hella! And Hail to the Whole One ... Nerthus! And Hail to all Your Avatars and all Your Divine Names throughout the Ages! Hail High Priestess!!! Hail Queen!!! I bow to You because I know You're real. Thank you so much. Mother Nature is alive!!! And the World needs to know about Her!!!!!!! This is absolutely True and Very Important!!!

Also, for tarragan does anyone know any magical properties? We have a large lovely bush of it, and it is attached to me. I can feel it, whenever I am at my grandmother's house, I can sense it from far away how glad the plant is to see me again. When I go near, it lets out every scent it can just to welcome me. I also love this herb, we use it in soups where I live, this is my favourite non-floral plant alongside with rosemary, basil and lemongrass. 🩷
