shep wasn't in the finale because the producers actually took them on a vacation to the valley and shep got jumped at a club and had to leave the show right before the finale and that's why jr started to go crazy because shep wasn't there but of course the producers edited that out to avoid getting sued and they just made it seem like jr was insane
