The "what if?" and "the could I have done to stop this?" games are ones that I played for years after my wife's first miscarriage. I remember the depth of the helplessness. I almost drowned.

"Two-parent kids are more stable and move with a confidence single-parent kids don't have." Tjoe!!!

Isn't offensive for the single-parent raised?
@mercymsezeni8385 ай бұрын
@@smondsnomonde6051 This statement isn't meant to disqualify or undermine the work that single parents do, but it's the truth. Studies show the stability that comes with having both parents. A child needs both parents and it's unfortunate that it's not a reality for every child. I was raised in a single home and I can totally relate with lacking self-confidence and security.
@keotshepileplaatjies842412 күн бұрын
@@mercymsezeni838I beg to differ, yes God intended for kids to be raised by both parents but as for stability and confidence... That is case based. I know more broken kids who come from complete families. Toxic present and married parents will only result in broken kids.

I wasnt gonna comment cause I'm just a gal in Sada 😂. But you said that you held your daughter and thought you understood why your father left, oooh man that hit home cause my father has never been there and I've always wondered why, but I've held onto the victim title, the child who was left title so dearly that it made no sense to reach out, even now i feel the same but i see what you mean, men are never given the platform to process. No matter how much the woman carries the whole junk, it's sad how men are never given a chance to process. I hope one day I'm gracious, kind and willing to ask him to start over and mend what never existed which is our relationship. Thank you, okay back to my little corner 🙃

It's very much a tight rope. I think the older we get the more open we may be to understanding our parents as people and individuals with their own make up and histories not just as our parents. It excuses nothing and will not reverse anything but sometimes helps in realising most of their poor decisions have nothing to do with us but everything to do with them and how they see themselves and that ripple effect, thats where true accountability lies. But whether they are willing to go there to have that KIND of conversation is another story . I hope one day you are able to have the chat. And thanks so much for watching and sharing your thoughts too 🙏🏾

I was raised by a single mother and i am with a man who was raised by two parents and parents still married. I have been holding on to the relationship because I want our daughter to have both parents in the same home unlike me. I kept up with lot of emotional abuse from him. I live very unhappy cause of that and i am starting to see that our daughter can see through my sadness and is not fair for her. I think i would rather have her raised by two parents in seperate home than in one home.

@The_Dream_Space4 ай бұрын
Thanks for the feedback and sorry for your loss as well. It’s an an undeniable trauma to deal with There was natural laughter in the general conversation where it flowed organically and was in the context of what was being said at the time. However have to disagree with you in that there was not a point where the actual miscarriage Hungani and his wife experienced was laughed at, made light of or joked about. That would be insensitive and inappropriate.
