I think this series has actually helped me with RPGs. I never broke from who I was, never entered another mind. Always being kind hearted as my character were always projection of what I would be and like to be. Never stepping in the shoes of another person with other traits, specialties, views. Thanks for this and the other video on RPGs. Really shed some light on how to play and enjoy these games to their fullest extent.

Same, but in that case you could try to give it a twist, like the methods the character uses and why. My last rp was about a character that is almost the opposite of Theo. A silent, unyielding gunslinger, completely ignorant on computers and absolutely hates energy weapons. She always helps people, but mostly because it involves killing "scum" one way or the other. She's so creepy, staring silently at people with void and tired eyes and her resistance seems almost supernatural by running head on into the danger, shrugging off things like explosions or bullet wounds to the point she would scare her companions about her seemingly invulnerability. But the truth is that, indeed, that explosion hurt, that stab wound is bleeding a lot, but she keeps herself together, whatever the cost, healing herself when no one is looking at her, because she must feed this legend, she wants to be remembered like this. And her ultimate aim is to put a bullet in Caesar's head, and she will take on every praetorian that gets in her way. "I won't die...i'm the one...the one."

You got me to reinstall NV and see if I can get into it this time (have 60 hours but never been to Vegas before, hahaha)! I want to like the game, and it's not like I can't play RPGs my fave game's morrowind and that shit's janky as hell at times and not to mention I'm a huge fan of the original fallout games, but I can't ever seen to find a groove with this game but your video on how to enjoy RPGs really helped me get the kind of mindset I feel is necessary. I never got on the bad side of Daniel so I was surprised to see him of all people be the one to break Theo, and jesus he really didn't hold back. Painful, but it's just what he needed. From the looks of where it's going, I'm gonna miss the Theo who went from nerdy repairman to the post-apocalyptic Walter White; but seeing how he might redeem himself will be fascinating indeed.
