The monetary sacrifices by overseas based Samoan players is enough to proveto me just how much they value the blue jersey. There commitment can never be questioned.

That is absolutely true, the only way to success is failing..without that fail, you can't learn. you are reading my thoughts, I wish I made it that far, so that I can have a voice as a player. That is why you Elliot Fuimaono is well fitted to be in that manu samoa panel

vince and wwe owned rocks royalties for years even john cena's own name lol so glad to see rock own his own stuff and from what i heard i could be wrong it was one of the reasons he joined the wwe board was that he wanted to own his royalities, which is full circle moment for him

I feel TKO were desperate to get Rock on the board. Especially with the bad publicity WWE was facing with the Vince McMahon scandal coming to light. I assumed ownership of "the Rock" was part of the deal and the promotional value Rock brought to the table was leverage. Especially their new deal with Netflix. Also WWE trademarks all their characters on their roster. The wrestlers have no choice. It's how they get their foot in the door to possible stardom.

I remember watching the rock do an interview with howard stern when he first went to Hollywood, he said he owned the name back then.. which was massive coz vince McMahon almost never gave ownership of names and likeness to anyone.. so he's had it for a while

if you remember rock's earlier films they would promote his films on wwe televison and the movies would advertise his name dwayne "the rock" johnson lol he didnt own it at the time, its one of the reasons rock spent years in hollywood building his name dwayne johson as its own brand before eventually returning to wwe, so kudos to the rock

Let's say, The Rock funds the Manu Samoa Rugby Team, we'll definitely WIN the next Rugby World Cup 2027! Let's Go!! lol.

If you could choose Samoa or Tonga in Rugby Union and can change whenever then most probably the foreign players would choose the islands that's the difference between the NRL players and the Rugby Union players they can choose to go back and forth in the NRL but you have to stand down for years in Rugby Union. Putting bread on the table for your family comes first we as islanders know that and there's no questioning the commitment!

Does this comversation go back to your disdain for player safety in your earlier podcast? CTE prevention from early on with the technology we have?

Its a lost opportunity to discard Seilala. What would you expect from the SRU ? They have a history of instability and flippant decisions.

I think toa samoa can decide to play for samoa because they remain eligible to play state of origin.. that makes pays the players more money then test matches.. but yeah sorry for being a bots.. love the poddy, Eli is the man

All for local selection buuuuut, you saw the manu ma team who were probably all if not most were local players, who just played Japan got smoked. It’s is what it is, samoa local players don’t have the probs enough or not level wise up there with the outside Samoans. Until those local players get exposed to outside programmes such as overseas contracts they won’t be upto international standards

Why don't u guys have Eliotas name in the title he's the reason people watch this episode that's the least u could've done yet his names left out and replaced by nob0dys

The Michael Jennings situation is such bs !! If the NRL don't want to celebrate his 300 games that's fine, but to paint him as a criminal in the media and then say "we don't tolerate this in the NRL" all while at the same time bringing him back into the game to represent not only his club but the NRL 🤦 so double standards man, they made him out to be a "criminal" and then allow him to wear the nrl logo week in week out. If they didn't tolerate they should've left him out completely rather then this bs. Let's not be quick to forget what Jonothan Thurston did on a night out a couple years ago but yet he's a "legend" in our game 🙄🤦
