Theo is unmatched at sneaking in little jokes you don't even realize how funny they are until seconds later. That nugget about the impeachment hearings was brilliant.
@MeAuntieNora5 жыл бұрын
I honestly feel like this is a reason that people might not find him funny, at least some of those people. It's not really a matter of "you just don't get it." Theo just kind of casually tosses incredible jokes into his apparently normal speech. His delivery does not prime the conventional expectations for stand-up comedians telling jokes, so it's almost reasonable that people just don't really realize he's knocking almost every sentence out of the park. Or, people might think he's sometimes funny, but that he seems "accidentally" funny, like he wanders into saying funny things and doesn't even realize it. But that's part of his brilliance... being able to say some of the funniest shit I've heard in years, and have it just sound like an off the cuff conversation with his friends, is nuts to me. Really impressive comic.

Damn, I really wish I could give Bobby a big 'ol bear hug right now. Stay stong my man, 17 years of sobriety didn't go to waste when you relapsed and if you've managed to stay clear from it once you can do it again. I believe in you Bobby, take care of yourself and continue to achieve great things in life!
@jordanchiaruttiniREALTOR5 жыл бұрын
Agreed man. I know AA is great and has helped a lot of people, including Bobby, stay sober. But the attitude in there is that if you relapse, it negates all of the success that you've had previously and I think it makes it easier when people relapse to not just gather themselves up and get back to being sober. If you spent thousands upon thousands of days sober and a month getting fucked up.... You didn't fail. You just aren't successful every single day.
