Seth Rogen came from a modest upbringing, so it wasn't a huge let down when 'Freaks and Geeks' ended, because he had made more money in one season than he'd ever seen.

Unpopular opinion: I think a well-done, well-conceived reboot with as much of the original cast as possible would be incredibly successful. We can follow everyone’s lives into adulthood, see how they handle their own kids, jobs, friendships, deaths, etc. It’s so clear to me that there IS an audience for that. I know people like to shit on reboots, but I think if Apatow and Feig were at the helm again, it really could work. Although I’m not sure if anyone would want to work with James Franco again…..

It’s amazing how many of them have had such successful careers, I highly recommend watching the short doc on the show, it really showed that sometimes things are supposed to end. The show was a launch pad for them

I first saw Freaks and Geeks back in 04, when the first disc with 3 episodes arrived in my mailbox from Netflix. I was hooked instantly and I’ve adored the show so very deeply ever since. It changed my life in ways a show shouldn’t have the right to do. Thank you Paul and Judd. Seriously thank you.

not counting unproduced pilots or pilots that weren't picked up, there were four sitcoms on the CW circa 2006 (post F&G, pre Super Bad). Three of them were primarily Black casts and then forth was Reba. So not clear. My guess is Reba or a sitcom that ultimately didn't make it to air.

If u like Freaks and Geeks, watch the show Undeclared, it's also by Judd Apatow, it's got more or less the same vibe and Seth Rogen's in this one too, sadly it also got cancelled after only one season

KZbin has made it so that videos with excessive swearing don't get put into the algorithm as much, so they won't show up on the front page and won't show up in recommendations as much as "clean" content does. You'll notice a lot of KZbinrs, even popular ones, now censor themselves more (at least with "fuck"). KZbin sucks for content creators right now (in many more ways than just censorship).

I feel like Seth Rogen is so pretentious. You know those people who try so hard to not seem pretentious that they come off as pretentious? lol that's him every time I watch and see him in an interview.
@hayleybeck7340
@hayleybeck7340 5 жыл бұрын
@@jon8004 I'm sure it is lol....I just think he tries too hard to seem like he doesn't care about the things that others actors care about- like success, respect, people thinking of him as talented and funny....and it just comes off as disingenuous to me. Just my opinion and I'm usually a fan of most actors who have made it, because I truly believe it takes a very hard working and resilient person to get that far. It doesn't mean I don't respect him and what he's accomplished- I just don't really like his personality. I loved Supebad. I think sometimes certain personalities just clash and his seems to clash with mine :)
@susans654
@susans654 5 жыл бұрын
@@jon8004 I agree with you. I don't see him as pretentious at all but rather as a guy who just knows what he likes and doesn't like. Pretty down to earth and easy going in every interview I've watched.
@nebulousisgod
@nebulousisgod 5 жыл бұрын
I kind of see what you mean and I definitely have known people who are like that. It’s also impossible to get them to see that themselves. Interviews are weird though, they’re responding to the person asking them questions so it depends on the interviewer.

It would then be difficult to not come off as pretentious then, since it seems like he isn't, yet he still is. I feel like Seth Rogen is self-deprecating enough in other situations to not really be pretentious, he also doesn't seem to take himself too seriously here while still giving sincere answers. I don't necessarily love the guy either nor his work, but I mean he's being asked questions about himself, so it might be hard not to.
