I truly enjoy this. Love how Sam Jones interviews these actors, he really listens what they say, doesn´t interrupt them. A really class act. And gets something more out of them than the typical answers...

One of my acting teachers used to talk about things that have been "socialized" out of us. A big part of becoming an actor is unlearning that filter.

Now that is an interesting observation. Never heard an actor in one of these interviews mention that specifically or the related thing that Rockwell noted about the "spillover" of emotion after the director yells "cut".

This is one of my favourites in this interview series. Love how he explains actors`temper tantrums. Never had though about it like this, but I think this is so true.

I think part of what he’s talking about is that actors go through all the polarity of real emotions they might channel and that is not always easy to control and that their should be respect for the difficulty people face when experiencing strong emotions. You have to respect where they are coming from and that they are so human they have difficulty turning on robot modes when being human.
