Is there a way to save custom slicers for use in other workbooks? Perhaps, in the user’s PWB?

I makes me happy to hear that, Jim. It's my pleasure 😊 Regarding your question: As far as I know, there is no explicit way of exporting/importing slicer styles. However, you can transfer custom styles to other workbooks easily by copying a slicer with that custom style into the new workbook. Then it will automatically be added to that workbook's 'custom slicer style library' . You can delete that copied slicer directly after that and the custom slicer style will still be there.

Thanks for the suggestion. FWIW, I probably will use the same approach for custom slicers as I’m using for (some) Power Query functions: I store them in my PWB so that I go to the same “store” for reusable custom objects like VBA, PQ, & now custom slicers.

Hi, Thank you for the video. It's very informative, Is there a way to show the data label on a chart only when one single button on a slicer is selected/clicked? If filter is cleared on the slicer, I don't want the data level to be displayed as it will get clumsy.

Is therere a opportunity to change the colour when I unselect the filters oder set more then one filter? Because the change of those buttons are not in this video.

Indeed I didn't show how to modify the design for these buttons. The reason is, as far as I know, there is no way to explicitly change their style. If I open the file on a Mac, these two buttons somehow adopt the style of the regular slicer buttons, but on Windows they still have that old look and I couldn't find a way to fix that. If you somehow find a solution to that problem yourself, I'ld be more than curious to learn how to do it as well 😊

Great set of posts, but I’m using a Mac, so am I correct in thinking, I cannot creat the same style of ‘slicers’ as no function within excel?

Hi Craig, thanks for you question! The answer is: Yes and no. When you try to format slicers on a Mac they are treated as 'tables' (at least that's how I experienced it in my version for Mac). That means you are still able to edit some parts like e.g. header and general background, but you have no option to edit the button behaviour and style like on Windows. If you find a way though, please let me know 😊

Hi Yeahnick, seems to be a Mac specific thing. On Windows, the multi selection button still has that yellow color (which is really unfortunate) and so far I didn't found a way to change that. If I open it on a Mac, it somehow has the same behaviour as the slicer buttons.
