I just love the fact that this song, and this video, feels very personal. Personal in a way that's reflected where David Archuleta is the only person in this video, surrounded by a sort of 'raw' and 'natural' background; nothing flashy pops out. The fact that he's alone in this MV and he's singing this song about numbness and the difficulty to move on; how one has self-struggles where only they themselves can overcome it. Those scenes of him walking in solitary while singing his heart out until he's out under the rays of the sun. It's a simple video and I may be looking into it too much, but it just feels like there's a lot of thought put into shooting this in order to suit the nature and message of the song. I agree with this post, but I dont think its necessarily speaking of the difficulty of moving on, moreso the readiness to start again and to get out of a stagnant place and into the manifestation of ones destiny. I think the numbness hes singing about speaks of how we can become comfortable in our safe atmospheres and environments....not willing to take leaps of faith and strive for the greatness that lies in all of us through God. But the overall idea of your comment is a great thought and I do agree with the imagery and how it brings the message to fruition. David is the best! So glad hes making music again!

David Archuleta this video is stunning. I can feel the emotion, the message, it really moves me. Your music has helped me overcome many hardships in my life over these past several years - I began listening at age 14 and I am now 23. It helped me have the courage to break free from the chains of abuse that my parents did to me for most of my life. It really did help me "put one foot front of the other", it got me through many hard times. I am now healing, and happy to be married to a loving husband. I'm living my own life. You wouldn't know what your music means to me and has done in my life. God has used you in ways you don't even know. Thank you for the gift of your music, it is one of the reasons I am still here today.

Thank you for being so honest. No one wants to feel numb. No one wants to feel isolated or in constant physical or emotional turmoil. But He has felt every bit of it, and there's always a purpose. Miracles are real and so is joy. There is too much negativity in this world. I really don't understand people whose sole focus in life is to get attention, instead of chasing after their purpose. His love is real. There are some things we just don't understand, but one day they'll be explained. Faith can move mountains. Our life on earth is a mere sliver of our eternal story. I have to remember this sometimes, because I've had a debilitating mental health condition that is only just now in the light. No one knew what I was going through; I kept it all inside. No one wants to feel vulnerable, yet no one wants to feel pitied. No one wants to lose their childhood either, something which I can't remember that well. The harder the trial, the more you can be assured that God trusts you and come to realize strength you never knew you had.
