First, Em produced this beat. He is really underated producer. Secondly, this was supposed to be the movies soundtrack. Thats why parts of it are in the movie. But during filming, Em realized he could do better. Thats how lose yourself came to be. Em thougt this song didnt slap hard enough... let that sink in.

This is from the 8 Mile soundtrack, not an Eminem album, that's why it's got 50 on there. Also gotta point out that this song is done from the perspective of the character that Em played in 8 Mile. The character was heavily based on Em's real life but there's still some slight differences between the 2 of them. Regardless, it's a top-5 Em workout song. Em's got so many hits that you gotta start breaking them into categories lol

Yeah like the fact that he's actually from the hood, he's not from 8 mile & never lived in a trailer park 💯 that was just added for the movie!!!!! He's actually from 7mile & Hoover but most of the world thinks he's actually from 8mile & a trailer park but he was really actually in the streets back in the 90's when Detroit was the murder capital of the country & battling everyone to the top💯

Listening to Em’s early work is so important to the journey. Em is not just out here saying anything in most of his songs. He is constantly referring back to his older stuff and I think it’s why it doesn’t hit for people who don’t take the time to give him a chance. It’s a whole ass journey with this guy and why his fans are so diehard this far into his career. Will never be another like him

The Game is calling Eminem ”Wanna be African” but Em has done so much for the black community. I mean, if he didn’t then they’d call him out for not supporting black people. the game has been clout chasing for MONTHS to Em. Going on Podcasts over and over talking trash to Em out of no where...now it makes sense, he was working on the album and needs Attention due to being irrelevant for a decade. So he does this awful "diss" to get people to talk about it and when you put Em Diss, you will get VIEWS and Exposure easily and it's working. But people know HOW BAD that track is. Its not even a Diss at all.

So first of all, I want to say that you guys are my new favorite reactors! I love the mix of bear heads and bar catchers, you all do y’all own thing, plus I get a good laugh. Second of all, if you listen to the entire Game diss to Em, it’s ridiculous. He uses Ems own cadence from Older songs, but the thing that pisses me off, is Game literally turns his Dodd song into a racial thing. Tells Em he was never really that good but he’s white, and never really been in the rap game because he’s white and tries so hard to be black. Me has been true to himself for decades. He is who he is, and real people like real. Lastly….I’m begging, do Eminem’s “Greatest”…it’s nasty. Keep doin y’all guys, it’s appreciated

@@RushNZ absolutely! He is so undeniably the greatest lyrically, of all time imho. I really hope they get around to this performance because it also showcases him just rapping in everyone’s faces, after all the censoring and backlash, he is here saying what he wants to say. Just epic! Especially the moment where he gives a pound to Carson Daly lol

@@elizabitty213 Hahaha oh snap I remember that, he daps up Carson but leaves Fred Durst hanging... Em was a real mfer lol. I agree, there's never been a better lyricist than Eminem, even Rakim said that, and he's one of the OG goats. The great thing about Em is he can make songs that make you feel as well as songs that are just lyrical masterpieces. If he's not in your top 10 you just don't get it.

@crizdancemedia 2 жыл бұрын
@@davidgbenke I agree! Rewind is one of the best tracks I’ve ever heard and the story was even better because he rapped the story backward. I had to listen to that song several times to thoroughly get the song from the actual beginning to the end of the track. I loved how even some of the dialogue between the characters in the story was backwards as well like that one part where he said “shoot don’t please” but in normal dialogue, he’s saying “please don’t shoot.” You can also picture everything going backwards as well like how he described the smoke going back into the blunt and back into the flower. Nas was wayyy ahead of his time those days.

The majority of Eminem catalog that are his number one hits are produced by Eminem, hes been producing sense his first album. He would humm a beat and tell the producers what sounds to make hes hearing in his head. Dre said bro thats producing ...them em caught the producer bug and been doing it every sense. Hes produced a whole tupac album..nas songs and jay zs renegade was eminems produced beat. Basically you can watch him do a freestyle on tim Westwood where he is literally messing with the beat on the turntable as hes rapping to fit what style he wants to rap on it because he has dog hearing with pitches and what frequencies and he could tell it was off so mid rapping he walks over and adjust it lmao

To my people not from the D I explained in an older video but the mile roads in Detroit are literally mile markers and they are to reference roughly how far you are from downtown "when the city was built that's where everything was traded and imported" the significance of 8mile rd is it's literally the border between the city and the suburbs so even though Em is rapping from the perspective of B-rabbit a lot of the challenges he faced ran parallel with his real life living on the the "black side" aka the city but going to school and working etc on the "white side" the burbs this man pen is crazy oh and the significance of the train noise in the beat is because where Em grew up (8mile and Hoover area) had to cross those tracks in his commute everyday growing up

8 Mile Road is when he was just about to come up. Lose Yourself is when he crossed over. Til I Collapse reminds you who tf he is. No Apologies is for the Slim Shady fallout. Not Afraid is for rehab and going next level. Cold Wind Blows reminds you that HE knows who tf he still is. Cinderella Man is the launch of Marshall 2.0. The Ringer is a "did you hear what I just said??" warning shot, and Zeus is trying to explain what's it's actually like being the goat. You could come up with a thousand other combinations of his tracks constructed into a thousand different perspectives; regardless, you're always seeing the cycles of his life. THAT, in my opinion, is why he resonates with so many and for so long. People become distracted, jaded, misled, undereducated, and even forget their own selves, but the soul always recognizes its own language.
