Warren G is Dre's step-brother, he introduced Snoop to Dre and if it wasn't for him there wouldn't be the classic g-funk West Coast sound, he also produced most of the tracks on dre's classic album 'The Chronic'..and Snoops debut album..he has produced everyone from Pac, Drake, Wiz Kalifa, Snoop, even that K-Pop boy band bts...if it won't for him, hip-hop would be way different today. He rarely gets his flowers, but he Def deserves them...

@lalathedonna5223
@lalathedonna5223 2 жыл бұрын
@@eliasj8402 How do you figure that is a lie? It's not like I assumed or guessed or even made this up. On multiple occasions, multiple artist and studio heads have said this. Warren G is the one who was there during every single song on both of those albums. He is the one that came up with the whole "g funk" WC style beats that took off and inspired Dre a different avenue of sounds to produce. Just bc his name wasn't on every single track, doesn't mean he didn't deserve credit. There has always been a riff between dre and Warren G bc of this. No one knows why there's a riff or what caused it, but there is. After those 2 albums dropped, plus Above the Rim soundtrack, he was never in the forefront or wasn't really mentioned at all. Idk go look at his producing credits, you might be surprised..

I recorded it on tape, paused and rewinded it over and over again to write down and learn the lyrics! So of course decades later I still know every single word of this unbelievable great, smooth song! And still I am leaning back and „singing“ along to a great story telling track that will always gives me the feeling I am 14 again ❤️

You had Nate and Warren with G-Funk, you had the Fugees, A Tribe Called Quest (you say the whole thing), multiple varieties of Gangsta rap, knowledge rap, social justice rap (y'all need to listen to Public Enemy), hip hop was everywhere.

I just looooove this song…I was around 14 when it came out. Very iconic for me. They sampled another of my favourite songs, “I Keep Forgetting” by Michael McDonald! I would highly recommend you give it a listen! ❤️

I had a student teacher in American Government/History back in the mid 90s, and when it got to teaching us about President Warren G. Harding, he said, and I quote, “Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the original Regulator.” We laughed our butts off, naturally. However, when we began to “settle down,” we noticed our actual teacher didn’t get the joke, making us laugh even harder! LMBO

I always loved this song...and that very first line at the beginning where they are talking about being regulators and being handy with the steel...was from a 1988 movie called Young Guns, about Billy the Kid.

I've always felt like Nate Dog never got the publicity from the rap game like he should of. Even when he passed away, most people didn't even know because no one made any tributes or talks about him. He was such a huge influence and he's never really talked about.
