Asvine P80 Fountain Pen Review

Hey Mick, I got my model 20 and had a bit of a yarn with Michael L. Lovely guy. The pen is a dream. I reckon it writes better than a Mont Blanc. Michael has polished that nib to perfection. The pen feels so good in the hand. I also love the filling system.

@ it’s sort of grey with burgundy stripes. Every one he had on display was different. He just feels great in the hand. I love a pen that he so unique and has its own story.

Bought mine over a month ago and love it. Love the heft, color (silver & clear underlay), and the smooth writing even though mine is a Fine nib. Also, the piston sucks in a ton of ink.

Could you please detail the action you took to correct the minor skipping? That occurs on my other Asvine pens and I would like to correct it before buying another Asvine pen. I do prefer the look of this P80.

Ugh, I wish this video came out last week. I'm recent into fountain pens starting with the Lamy Safari and have been agonizing over my first upgrade. Personally I love form over function however when it came to a pen I was determined to be "sensible" with the choice. It came down to this pen and the Pilot Custom 823, they sat in my cart for over a week while I went back and forth before finally settling on the Pilot due to its overwhelmingly positive writing ability. After this review I'm thinking I could of had the looks and very decent writing nib for half the price 😳

@@DontKnowLetsGo to be honest… never feel remorse over getting an 823… one of the absolute best pens on the market. You’ve gotten something that is truly remarkable! Enjoy it

Only 3 minutes in and it has Montblanc vibes in the shape.

@@justnik8727 hard to find a cigar shaped pen that doesn’t have things in common with the MB shape… and MB weren’t the first with that profile.

I suppose there is a good reason so many companies produce pens with that kind of shape. It’s classic… handsome and practical.
