Allen Iverson played with heart, had all-time handles, and brought culture to the game like no one else. Beyond that, let's be honest, he was a chucker.

Huge AI person here but his image is declining due to the stat analysis these days. The nerds are firmly against him cause his inefficiency with shots. They using math to analyze him instead of their eyes.

They not watching the games so they view is obsolete. Going off of numbers you can’t see the whole story and the beauty of the game that he has or other players like Kobe he is revered as the greatest of all time or the 2nd greatest 2 shooting-Guard of all time or he the number 1 sg of all time but since he 2nd in most shots missed in NBA history the nerds are going to do the same with him? Or it’s some type of nerd criteria they have for them and them only?? Allen Iverson is an anomaly at 5’11-6ft 165 pounds he lead the league in scoring 4times at 6ft he also averaged 30ppg or more for 4 seasons btw he’s a great passer and has great defensive instincts people for he lead the league in steals 3 seasons btw it was 3 straight seasons oh and he was once the defensive player of the year in College so he plays Both sides of the floor and plays every game like it’s his last his heart can’t be measured like his height and stature . He’s getting double team while not really playing with players who can shoot consistently for most of his career. You’ll never see someone 6ft do what he did night in & night out . The refs & the NBA was against him and still prevailed. Imagine if they treated him like MJ or KOBE or Lebron??? Ps - “ This comment is for them stat riding nerds hope they read it”

@@Kingl33ktheir arguments lack context , he was 5’11 175 shooting over players 5 and 6 inches taller than him with no offensive help. How was he gonna ever be efficient in those circumstances?

Iversons FG percentage wouldve been alot higher, had he actually lifted weights and conditioned his body to handle the volume of shots he took. Thats the difference bwteen MJs volume and AIs
@g4lsupreme542
@g4lsupreme542 13 күн бұрын
Not so much true .. soon as he went to the nuggets his FG percentages went up due to spacing not having a whole defense focusing on at 5’9 . Outside of centers and power forwards all of the others players who were high volume shooters FG % was fairly low .

The difference is Jordan wasn’t 6 ft and didn’t play on terrible teams. Iverson played with bums and had to take a lot of shots because of the structure of his teams.
