This is a good tutorial showing many different examples. Well done. Thanks for putting this together. I did a short video on directional material, which included Labradorite and Obsidian, however, there are many other materials that refract similarly. Have a nice weekend.

Thank you Theo! I don’t have cutting equipment, however, if I was going to have a piece cut for me, I’ll have a better idea how I would like it done! Yes! Laboradorite is one of my favorite pieces!! I would be thrilled with that video. I’m sure it will be great!! 🪨🤘

When I get a sweet small patterned slab, the next cut is usually thin for use as earrings in matching sets and then maybe more. Also start thru the best lapidary material to end with the "butt" having the matrix baking it, not included in every slab. keep 'em coming.

Love the video Theo, I saw a video about petrified heart stones and the slabs looked just like many of your agates. Medical Biology books might overlap lapidary books. Keep up the great work.

Wow! Theo! If i did not live in an apartment building, i would have a she shed just to build my rock empire. I have a ton of rocks that i find, but i can't do much with them. So, i hold on to them in hopes that i can slab my rocks and make a rock salad of sorts. I thank you for the much needed education!

18:32 18:33 this waterline agate has an incredible amount of banding , too many to count, and barely visible! It’s mind blowing neat that they’re almost more thin than fingerprints!

Can you try? Or have you tried foam on your wood clamp boards or skateboard grip tape the rubber ones to help hold the rocks in 10:26

1:56 okay seeing all these rocks makes me think that all rocks mostly are a peice of history but everyone just kickes them around as “rocks” and not even think twice that it might be a treasure or do these rocks come fone only rivers and known treasure spots? I don’t know anything about anything just wondering also do u use oil or water

Cabal it down cutting any Rock depends on what you want to do with it and what experience you have built up along the way cutting. You must got some rocks and then you're on your own and that is the only way to know how to cut a rock.
