I drive an 03 Honda Pilot with 252,863 miles on it. In South Carolina, back in high school ‘82(giving away my age), I drove a 64 Dodge pickup with a rag on one wiper blade so it wouldn’t scratch up the window. I called it my chicken truck….and I drove a 54 Barracuda…It was a beauty!

I hope that when I’m long gone, someone will find and restore my Jeep. It is still running strong at 220,000 miles. It does everything we ask of it. Repairs are seldom needed as long as regular maintenance is done. 2010 Liberty 4x4.

No joke, my stepfather had a Plymouth pickup (yes, Plymouth made pickups, very briefly in the late 30s and early 40s). It never started in all the years I knew it, but it didn't stop him from periodically spending a weekend trying to make it start. He would get the battery charged up and crank away on it, and it would scream "NO-NO-NO-NO" until the battery died. I had the distinct privilege of driving a '76 Grand Cherokee for a few years in the early 80s (the stripped down hunting camp version of that vehicle). It belonged to my boss, and besides using it for work, I was allowed to drive it for my own use as part of my pay package. You literally had to lay the part on the parts counter at Pep Boys to get the right part. It had a Ford block, an AC Delco starter and who knows what else. My boss was too cheap to put antifreeze in it, so it blew a head gasket the first week I worked for him, and I got to help his friend tear it down, get the heads shaved and put new gaskets in it. It didn't even have a front drive shaft in it, so no four wheel drive, but it would pull a barn if hooked to it. It got 8 mpg on its best day, perfectly tuned with new sparkplugs and wires. It had more holes than body, and the wind just whistled through it in winter, but it was one heckuva useful running truck. His son-in-law had the '85 Grand Wagoneer with the leather seats and all that, but truthfully, I preferred the beater Cherokee. It was just made for work.

There was no dragging you, we know better. Robert G"jeep" Wright, Master of Wagoneer Repair . You know the "Wright" name comes from the job of a wagon Wheelwright. And you thought it was all a coincidence. 😉😆❣ Daniel and Aaron in the same place/video? And you? A Trifecta!! Whoa, I am not sure I can take it. 😊😉❣ Tisk tisk, barefoot creek walking cold. 🙄

AMC owned Jeep back in the day. They were not doing that well towards the end. And they would mix fit and finish parts of the interior from different years. Kinda fun too try a guess what was what. I always thought they were cool vehicles, would go anywhere.

Liked the comment about AMC (All manufacturing companies). Since it is made up from others, got to call them out, too. The only ones I can remember are GMC ( got mechanic coming) and Ford ( Fixed or repaired daily ) or ( Found on road dead). Great job getting it cranked and 'slightly' running. lol

@donnal.oglesby48063 жыл бұрын
the Jeep sounds like it really wants to start.. as for the power windows it could be due to a fuse or a wiring...only good thing about having a old jeep as this, is that there are most likely are LOT of them in junk yards, where you could get parts from, if needed.

Lets me say straight up that I’m from Northeast Georgia, so not hatin’ on my Georgia Boyz. But sometimes when I’m watching y’all I’m reminded of that joke, that the famous last words of Southerners are, “Hey y’all, watch this!” Please tell me someone has a fire extinguisher in your truck. And a first aid kit.

That bag of whatever is seriously gross. Sorry you lost your sense of smell, Robert. That must be a holdover of the mystery illness. My friend's loss slowly came back. We had an AMC Matador. Just like many matadors, it just stayed put. It only had 60,000 mi when it gave out. So, since this wagoneer was abandoned, how will you drive it legally?
