I am in Fl. so no snow worries. However I have limited solar panels so I move them 3 times a day. It's a job but I love this stuff. I find the work it entails very satisfying I can tell you do as well. Love your stories!

Your struggles with carrying solar panels up to the roof sounds like something I would do (or have done.) I’m thinking about adding some more panels and making a covered parking area. It’s just an idea in the back of my mind so far. Thanks for the video!

as far as solar goes we live in a great time. prices have dropped dramatically, and we have more options than ever before. ground or roof? bi facial or mono? ac or de coupled? grid tie or off grid? 12,24,48v? DIY of pay someone? Net metering? and this doesn't even include battery systems.......we live in good times my friend. The only real issues are what choices we want to make,

I have a 24v roof system and a 48v ground mount system.

Interesting, why two different ones?

will need permits to put on roof no? i made some stands from pvc on my x2 200w bifacial panels so i just just bring them out each day and bring them inside when sun is gone. I live in the suburbs and no fencing in my back yard and neighbors are right next to me. Takes me about 5 mins to setup my 400w array and take them down. Was thinking about getting 2 more panels for a 800w array and building it on a rolling stand that i would wheel in and out.

I suspect you would need a permit for the burbs. For, in the middle of nowhere, there isn't anyone to care 😉
