As an engine builder of over 30 years I figured one thing out. When shit blows up everyone always blames the engine builder. Successful racers work with their engine builders not against them. JS, I have mad respect for uncle Bob!

Wait I though it was the tuner’s fault, the engine guy thought it was always his fault, and the transmission guy always thinks it’s his fault, says a lot about the performance industry , most of the guys care, and want to learn how to overcome weak points, other industries tend to just point the finger at each other..

Well said. Being in the car hobby for 25+ years as a 44 year old I have never been so insulted at these morons who know nothing about engines tell me they make more power than my LS1 or 327 sbc that I have build with pride in my driveway. It sickens me but everyone has seen Fast n Furious so naturally we all make 1000hp even if we never held a wrench 😅

Let alone tune one for racing. Google says 1990 was the last yr a carburetor was used on a new car in the United States. It doesn't matter what you use, Just have fun doing it.

One thing I continue to hear you and the Kids keep saying that's inaccurate is a LS is a Small Block Chevy Yall tend to refer to a LS as not being a Small Block Chevy. The LS is a Gen III or Gen IV Small Block Chevy. The Small Block you refer to mostly applies to the Gen I Small Block. Even the Gen V LT based engines in the 2014+ are Small Block Chevys.

I for one appreciate that you defend the engine builders and the like. As you say, once a piece leaves their control, they can’t prevent problems. Racing is a game of experimentation and pushing limits. When you either try something that doesn’t work, or you exceed the limits and discover the weaknesses, you learn from it. That’s how you improve. You’re not talking about going for lunch in the family sedan here, you’re leaning on equipment, HARD! I love watching your channel and following along to see your processes and how you show when things go south and why. You don’t hide things. Good on you! The keyboard experts do nothing but spew their “expertise” and I’m glad to hear you bash them. Keep up the great work. Thanks guys.

A lot of people tend to have a lot to say when they’ve never been down the track themselves, we run NHRA super stock and have been fighting issues with the motor dropping valves for almost a year and finally figured out it had nothing to do with nothing to do with the internals at all. The block was just wore out and would start to expand after it got hot after a few passes and you can assume where that would go… it’s just one of those freak thing that’s nobody’s fault that happens in racing.

Bob is awesome and an incredible engine builder, if I didn't live across the country I'd gladly take him my business. The people who are saying dumb shit are of course the best KZbin mechanics. Keep doing you and let them all wish they were you .

I'd like to see Kenny race and make progress with his program, and I'd especially like to see Mr Bob get his racecar going cause the smile he has when dyno'ed y'all's engines is just respectably awesome, we each feel as if we are watching a rerun of ourselves and feel a little piece of joy to experience this joy along with y'all, sure I'd love to see Bob race but as we all know the only way this will happen with the amount of work and load on his shoulders would be to close to the general public and uncle Bob join the Omg And SRC, Gen2 garage, and upcoming The Uncle Buckwheat "Show". Anything worth Anything isn't built overnight so we all pulling for the long haul with your family Mr Bill, thank you sir

Bill, I want to take a moment to say, …. Between you, Mrs. Vickie, Billy, Tommy, Allison, and your illegitimate child, Jimmy Dale, you ALL HAVE BEEN PUTTING OUT SOME FREAKING AMAZING CONTENT!!!!💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🏁🏁🏁🏁 We all know that you all have had your hands and shots FULL with broken “stuff”. However, we all miss your tutorials on tuning and new part changes and additions to get more out of our small blocks. I myself hope that you are able to sneak some of that back in once you get “caught up” with rebuilds/repairs!😂😂 Keep up the AWESOME CONTENT!!🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

I agree stuff happens, engine builder usually catches flack for no reason. I used a hobbs switch to cut nitrous off if fuel pressure dropped below safe level.

Love the clarity on the engine problems and standing by your friend “Bob” the engine builder/local guy! Way to go Bill. NOS is great but can be a double edged sword.

I just want to say thank you for the history lesson. That's crazy how a fuel pump quit working and it's all on nitrous I'm really surprised it didn't melt a piston, but thank you so much

Great video Bill and things happen it part of racing, even guys that dont race are having issues, friend of mine just put a new cam in his pontiac, broke it in property, but guess what lifter failed and wiped out the cam lob, no ones fault, there have been alot of issues happening across the board and have nothing to do with engine builders, people in this day and age just say dumb shit, dont sweat it, cause the people that really understand know, and when you are making more power, adding power adders, goin faster, leaning on stuff harder things are gonna break anyone that knows a small amount about racing knows this, anyway great video!! Your entire team is awesome, from your part supplier's, to your engine builders, and everyone behind the scenes!!!

One thing I can say is. That all the old school motors are constantly worked on and rebuilt while the ls in the falcon has only been pulled once

This is why I've ALWAYS been a supporter of this family that stems back to Kent Rose arm drop days. Bills always been straight forward and to the point and he's NVR steered me wrong on a NOS question. Bills smart and WELL experienced so people LISTEN he's right 99.9% of the time. Much love and respect Bill from us at Southern WV to you all. Hope to see you at Kent Roses race💯

One of your best videos I’ve watched of yours !! Everyone has something to say and have know idea of what we all do to these hot rods and the parts that we buy that we count on to be good and sometimes they’re junk. Great video.

This video is testament to the reasons you see old man's garage at a 100k views, Real people, making real world mistakes and explaining those mistakes instead of button pushing on a damn cell phone. Haters gon hate, I'm grateful for OMG, SRC, GEN2, Bob, and everyone that makes these videos happen. Thanks for being real

🇺🇸🦅🏁 You hit the nail on the head with the last comment Bill. People tear stuff up every weekend at tracks across the country. But nobody knows it unless you are pitted next to them. Even then they load up and head home before people find out. I done this very thing. But you guys have hundreds of thousands of people that see your videos. For someone to blame Bob or Steve Morris just shows how little they know about racing. Great video Bill. 🇺🇸🦅🏁
