Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Purgatory is not a place of purifications of sins but of their consequences. People in Purgatory are saved from their sins.

The Council of Florence decreed that it is mortal sin to observe and follow the Mosaic Law i.e. The Ten Commandments! Can anyone explain why it is no longer a mortal sin. What changed?

'For a sin to be mortal, three conditions must together be met: "Mortal sin is sin whose object is grave matter and which is also committed with full knowledge and deliberate consent."' (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1857)

Nothing changed, also the Mosaic Law was not necessarily the 10 commandments. It’s just J-daism.

The filioque issue has not simmered down in the Eastern churches. The Orthodox are clear on where they stand. The Eastern Catholic (Uniates) also avoid using the filioque.

Yes the Orthodox will not budge on the issue. And rightfully so.

The Nicene Creed was written in Greek the Latin translation was procedenti which we get our Proceed. When you recite the creed in western languages they convey a dual meaning which could call into question the divinity of Christ. I believe the Pope has no problem with its omission in Greek ,however in Latin it’s a different story . The Holy Spirit obviously proceeds from the son John 20 I’ve heard the Western compromise is the Holy Spirit proceeds from the father through the son. Which seems a satisfactory solution. The West never imposed that on the East as the Greek word translates closer to originates with the a Father. Both the concept of purgation and praying for the dead are Scripture Based. Purgatory as a place has never been defined. I agree Papal authority are a big but not insurmountable. The Council was accepted by all in attendance but later reject by the Greeks monks at Athos. who were the theological force in the East.

Papism obviously is an insurmountable problem, as it has not been historical believed by the whole Church at all times and all places. Nor does it agree with the ancient practice of the Church in the 1st 1000 years. Nor does it even make logical sense to have a Universal Bishop over the Whole Church. What is the point of the World Wide Christian Community having a Dictator? Why should the Roman Catholic Church have jurisdiction over other Apostolic Churches? Is this some silly form of Racism that makes Westerns superior to all other people? The Eastern Churches reject Purgatory mainly because of medieval Roman Catholic view of Purgatory as a place of punishment much like Hell, the modern Roman Catholic view as a place of Purification, I believe could be acceptable to the East as a Theological Opinion, but not as a Doctrine that must be believed by all. Indulgences make no sense as they make God into the Slave of the Pope. It is not God, but the Pope who decides when souls are ready to go to Heaven. This is just part of the Pride and Narcissism of the Papal office and goes against the entirety of Christian teaching and the Gospel. Why do you think that the Pope is above the Church and can break Canon Law and make additions to the Creed written by the Church after the Church had forbidden it? If the Pope of Rome is a member of the Church he is bound by the Law of the Church just like any other member of the Church to claim as you do that the Pope is superior to the Church is to say that the Pope is not a member of the Church and thus can't have any authority in Church, moreover if you are correct then to follow the Pope would be to separate oneself from the Church. Since the Church is the Ark of Salvation this is not a good idea! He who doesn't accept the Church as his Mother cannot have God as his Father; therefore Papism is Anathema!
