I recently discovered that the Freemasons acknowledge Jehovah as the ‘grand architect of the universe’. I also discovered there are many Jehovahs witnesses who are Freemasons including elders, overseers and GB, proven beyond a doubt with videos of their unspoken signing to each other. Not sure what to make of it, don’t know who to trust any more but I will never stop calling on the name of Jehovah, He is the final judge after all and who else can you trust in these last days!

Hello thank you for your video this is a conversation that me and another man at my work have been having and so I started researching it where the word Jehovah came from. And while researching it I found the word Jehovah in Exodus in the Old testament why was it there if it's a newer word? What word was there in Greek or Aramaic or Hebrew that they translated it from in Exodus to get Jehovah in the Old testament? Thank you for your time in helping me understand more about this topic.

The origin is very obscure. The word Yohoua was first used in the 1200s, then IOHOUAH in the 1300s, then IEHOUA in the early 1500s, and finally Jehova in 1530 was the first time it was used in English by William Tyndale. It’s very uncertain, and even the “correct” name spoken in this video is a reconstructed estimation. Most English Bibles will simply say LORD out of caution so a false name isn’t worshipped, but old translations such as the KJV use it in some places.

There are some things in the video that are technically accurate. But - the main premise is completely false. No disrespect to the person in the video - he's not Jewish, so he probably has no clue about this. If you look up Nehemia Gordon, a Jewish researcher - you will find out that the name is actually pronounced Ye-ho-vah., He has proved this beyond a shadow of a doubt from ancient Jewish manuscripts from 800AD, 1200AD, and 1700AD (just to mention a few of his findings). There are many people who have claimed exactly what this video is claiming and it comes from not understanding the language and the letters they used. Nehemia Gordon is someone who speaks Hebrew, researches ancient Hebrew, and studies with Rabbinical scholars. I literally just watched a video on this entire subject before I found this video. It would technically be spelled Jehovah in English - but the pronunciation is Ye-ho-vah. Sorry to bust the bubble.

I was going to post the same thing; go listen to Nehemia Gordon; a Jew who just wanted to know God's name, and he's pretty convinced it is Yehovah. Christians don't worry about the name Jesus when his name would be pronounced Yeshua in the original language.

Scientists and scholars disagrees on many topics in many fields until a broader consensus appears. Until it does, both sides should not be labeled as "false". As a former JW cult member this theme is one of my hobby and I have not found any information including Mr.Gordon to make it dead clear. There is one scientific field I find highly interesting and that is reviewing of already made discoveries in current light and in current set of available information. As the pronunciation if YHWH in hebrew was lost due religious tradition, it is very interesting to see how other surrounding nations using different alphabets with different consonant rules and with no religious superstition wrote down the name of the ancient hebrew god. I recommed this vid: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pniogI1rjq5laK8 Even the scientist do not cover it, his review of surprising Egyptian artefact delivers a proof to our Yahweh vs Jehovah fight and he might even not realising it.

You are mistaken, but this is a mistake many people have made. The ancient Hebrew sources said that the name was pronounced Ya-Ho-Wah. This name may have been derived in the way you explain, but it was the original name. In Hebrew the name means, I was - I am - I will be. Ya -Ho- Wah. We Christians know Jesus by this description. The book of Revelation says that He is the Lord God who was, is, and is to come. Yahowah or in the English Jehovah.

wrong conclusion purely expeculation. In Hebrew God's name is Yod He Vav He. YHWH is wrong translation. J is same in Y in English pronunciation. so don't misled. the German first translate Bible before it become in English. so they pronounce J the same in Yod in Hebrew. there's no wrong in that. Americans have local sound in alphabet. that why it's diffult for you to accept that name of God is J in German translation. and also search theoporic names. it clearly explain that God's name are three syllable. Jehova is right translation

Are you saying that the English form of the Bible should be forbidden? Just because it’s in English? Because Hebrew doesn’t have a J in the language? The name Jehovah became complete from what I remember it was in the 1100’s when they finally put the “o” in the name to get the spelling we have today. And the name Jehovah in the English language is a familiar name. If a person says the name Jehovah you will know exactly who you’re talking about. So today when you say the name Jehovah people will know who that is and who you are. Because only Jehovah’s Witnesses defend that name as the one and only personal name of God Almighty. The name Jehovah is found more often in the Bible then any other name there is. That goes to show how important that name is. And yet other religions don’t use it and one religion I remember even forbids it. It really shows me they are an enemy of Jehovah God. They don’t want the people to know who God Almighty is.

@@the_jeremiah_16_19_project this video says that you can educate Jehovah’s Witnesses about the origin of Jehovah, that it comes from the vowels of Adonai. But Jehovah’s Witnesses already know that. If you read the vowels of Adonai on the Tetragrammaton you get Yehovah. A similar trisyllabic pronunciation is produced when you apply the vowels of Elohim on YHWH. This was standard practice (with some inconsistencies) to apply the vowels of Adonai onto YHWH. That YHWH was not originally pronounced as Yehovah can be seen when consulting a preposition chart.

Even a Christian cannot brush aside the worship of Jehovah as God. In Revelation 1:5 the Son of God called himself "Jesus Christ, 'The Faithful Witness.'" When on earth as a man he was a Jew, an Israelite, to whose nation the words of Isaiah 43:10 were written: "'You are my witnesses, ' is the utterance of Jehovah, 'even my servant whom I have chosen.'" Jesus demonstrated that he was a faithful and true witness of Jehovah God. His genuine disciples today must be the same kind of witnesses, Jehovah's.

I don’t think God has any sort of personal pronoun kind of name. This is because God is not a singular being. Genesis 1:26. And God[Elohim] said, Let *us* make man in *our* image, after *our* likeness…” When Moses pressed God for a name he was given a tater abstract phrase instead. “"Asher-Ayer-Asher." I am that I am , or words to that effect. This is because God has no name. He does not need one. Names are something that are always given. There was no one to give God names. God[Elohim] has revealed their Titles to mankind and they are found in the Bible. The primary difficulty with understanding who and what God is because the English Bibles have replaced all the titles for God with simply the word God, Lord, made up names in an effort to create a God in our image. In doing so, the English Bibles read (in some places) as if God, Jesus, and the co-eternal Holy Spirit (which they share) are 3 individual Persons. This is preposterous. Only the Word of John 1 (Emmanuel) became flesh and dwelt among us. The Father and the Holy Ghost are not humans. Only humans are people and only people are persons. God[Elohim] is: (per their current titles) the Father, Son, and the co-eternal Holy Ghost which they share. 1John 5:7 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” One what? One God!And they are the same yesterday, today, and forever! .

Yes. Jehovah is a man-made word derived from what was to indicate the unspoken personal pronoun/name of Adonai. However, that name probably has never existed! And the reason for that is because God/Elohim is not one single person. Elohim is(can be) plural. "And God [Elohim] said - Let us make man in our image, after our likness:..." There is not personal pronoun for God in the Bible, and that is consistant with the idea that God/Elohim is not just one person. God is a Devine Entity. The Word of John 1 is incarnated as Emanuel (God with us) the only begotten Son of God and they have always shared the same Holy Spirit. That part of God/Elohim that stayed in Heaven is now legitimatly refered to as God the Father. Before the immaculate conception, there could be not titles of God the Father or the Son of God becuae you can't be a Father until you have begotten someone, and you can't be a Son unless you have a Father. The Word was never created, He was that part of God/Elohim that was Incarnated. And so we have it now - God/Elohim is God the Father, the Son of God, and the Holy Spirit which they have always shared. This is how Hebrew, English, Greek, Aramaic, Old and New Testement are % consistant. God/Elohim is not 3 persons, not 3 individual God's. But these three are one. The Holy Spirit does have personality - it is the personality and presence of God. This idea should be taken with a grain of salt becasue as far as I know, this is just my own thinking. ? What to you think about it ?

Thank you for clarifying that every Hebrew name which starts with a Y, gets translated into English with a J. What has come to light in the past 2 decades is that the Hebrews have always known God's Divine and Holy Name. There is no such name as Yahweh in any ancient Hebrew literature. It does not occur even once. God's people leading up to the time of Christ have always know God's Divine and Holy Name is Yehovah. A great video for you to do is how we got "Jesus" from his Hebrew name Yehoshua, because "Jesus" is not an accurate translation of the Hebrew name of Yehovah's firstborn, only-begotten Son into English.

This fallacy is so ridiculous when you consider all the other Hebraic names we say Jehu, Joshua, Jerusalem, Job, Jonah, Joel, etc It's English that's why you wont find "J" in Hebrew. At 6:05 notice no logical explanation given why the vowel "A" is changed to an "E" and the "I" has disappeared yet claims the vowels of Adonai are used. This is deceptive to claim the vowels are used when in fact it is clearly a false claim. Again obvious the name is not in the bible, Jehovah is the Latinised form. Notice you won't find YAHWEH in the bible. You will find YHWH but that is not the same as pronouncing Yahweh any more than Jehovah. Sorry but poor research and arguments made

with all respect pastor, you are only slightly correct in this but greatly wrong about the name, why it is not pronounce and His name and the origins of it. This is what happens when unlearned christians try to interpret a Jewish bible. You need to watch Nehemia Gordon's teaching on the name Yehovah...

We err when we try to fix God’s enigmas. God‘s name was never Jehovah or Yahweh . Since “…There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” Like it says in the book of acts. YHWH was a place holder till Christ came. At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow correct? Then what’s the purpose of these other names? Have we ever asked ourselves that? Jesus never called His Father Yahweh or Jehovah. “Jehovah “ never instructed anyone to “witness” for Him. Although it is an understandable translation mistake we must pause and ask ourselves if we are out of line. Is this blasphemy? More like mass deception. But we are not deceived! I never sing “there’s no god like jehovah” Or yahweh songs. But I understand why others do. It’s called religion! Religion has kept more humans out of the kingdom than any other source. Jesus hated religion. Called the “religious leaders” vipers! Said they’d cross land and sea to make converts. Called those converts “twice the son of hell” than they were. Religion tells God what He is. The first religious act of mankind was what? Adam and Eve covering their own nakedness. (We got this!) Till God took away their false covering and replaced it with the skin of a sacrifice. Time to pay greater attention to what we claim to believe.

Neither "yahweh" or "jehovah", are true "I AM" is GOD's Great Name That does not translate to "yahweh" or "jehovah" JESUS, used the "I AM" Name for GOD Nowhere did Jesus or His Apostles, ever say "yahweh" or "jehovah" GOD is "I AM" ; see Exodus 3:14 , and John 8:58 "I Am" In Hebrew it is : Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh" ; meaning "I AM That I AM" GOD Said to Moses " tell them I AM , sent ME to you"

@MultiBurger. You are right, I AM" is the name of God. The second statement: "Tell them that I AM sent you" should have cleared up all the confusion. The first statement is rendered half a dozen different ways by various translators which I take as an indication that translation doesn't have the answer. If someone asked for my name, I might say, "I am 'Bob'" I am pretty sure that when Moses asked for God's Name, the reply he got was, "I am 'I AM'" Figuring out that unusual sentence proved too difficult for those who carried the Pentateuch down through the ages to us. The tetragrammaton YHWH was constructed from the first letters of the words in the above sentence. Those letters never spelled out the Name of God. Sorry to disagree with 3500 years of Hebrew scholarship. If only people had come to the same understanding as you, we wouldn't have all that Yahweh nonsense.

“Jehovah…” (Yehovah) It is widely used in many churches. It is considered by many Christians to be hollowed, and many beautiful hymns also endear it, however, this name “Jehovah” is a concoction of man. Therefore, it is a “mongrel,” a “hybrid,” and it is “fantastic,” a fantasy, and it is “monstrous!” There is something very wrong with this euphonious name Jehovah. Therefore, the name of Jehovah was a name never revealed by the LORD. The facts have only to be known to justify this verdict. What are the facts? Ever since the Babylonian invasion of the Kingdom of Judea, and the enforced diaspora of its noble class in 597 BCE, the Jews have had a strong penchant for hiding the name of the LORD (YHWH) from the Gentiles, thus preventing them from potentially profaning the LORD’s name revealed to Moses (specifically the name of YAH, “HaYAH”, as found in Exodus 3:13-15). YAH is “the name which is above every name.” Readers in the synagogues would inadvertently attempt to pronounce the LORD’s name, as there were no vowels in the Hebrew words within the Hebrew Bible [or known as “The Old Testament”] when coming upon God’s name: YHWH. Later, the Jewish clergy developed the practice, around the 1100s of adding Hebrew vowels created by the Masoretes, to the Tetragrammaton [Gr. word for the four consonant letters of the LORD's name]. The vowels were taken from at least three other Hebrew words, namely, Adonay (meaning Lord, with the vowels of a-o-ai causing the hybrid name YaHoWaiH, or later shortened to YAHWEH), Eloah (meaning God, with the vowels of e-o-a causing YeHoWaH later Jehovah or Yehovah), and Elohim (meaning Gods, with the vowels of e-o-i causing YeHoWiH, as shown in Strong’s Dictionary of Bible Words # 3069). These hybrid names were never meant to form any legitimate name for the LORD but were placed there to remind the readers in the synagogues to say, “Adonay” instead of attempting to pronounce the LORD’s actual name. How was this euphonious name, Jehovah, propagated? Later in Medieval times, the Roman Catholic Church was known to raid Jewish synagogues, take their gold, and the Hebrew Scriptures [the Old Testament], and persecute Jews. Raymondus Martini was a 13th century Dominican friar and theologian. He is remembered for his book called “Pugio Fidei” (in the year 1270 CE). Finding the absconded Hebrew Scriptures in the Dominican Library, and believing he had discovered the name of God, he used the name Iehovah (or Iehova) in his book not understanding that these vowels were not original to the LORD’s actual name. The name and pronunciation of “Jehovah,” (and also the name Jesus unknown until the 17th century) were essentially unknown in the years before 1520 CE, when introduced and propagated by Peter, Galatinus (1450-1540), he held the office of penitentiary under pope Leo X. His chief work De Arcanis Catholicae Veritatis, a book, written at the request of the pope, the emperor, and other dignitaries, in the year 1516 CE, as he also used the name Iehovah in his book. The name Iehovah was altered with the addition of the letter J, which was a recent addition to the English alphabet in the 17th century. Galatinus also did not know of the Jewish practice of adding vowels from an entirely different word. He did not know that the vowels found around the Tetragrammaton YeHoWaH were from the Hebrew word Eloah, and if he did, he did not care. Noted Bible scholar J. B. Rotherham, essentially stated, “To give YHWH (Latin: IHVH and later JHVH) the vowels of the word (ELOAH) to remind the Jewish reader to say, ‘Adonay,’ and to be pronounced by the Christians, ‘Jehovah,’ is about as hybrid a combination as it would be to spell the name of Germany with the vowels of Portugal-viz., Gormuna” (The Emphasized Bible, J. B. Rotherham, Kregel Publication, 1994, Pp. 24-25). Jehovah in its present hybrid form has only existed since the 17th century. Fact: The LORD’s essential name is YAH, and Bible scholars have acknowledged YAHWEH (see Strong’s #3050), as in “Praise YAH,” Hebrew: “Halleluyah!” The English “Hallelujah” is a misnomer. YAH is “the name which is above every name” (Philippians 2:9), and YAHSHUA is the only name by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and this name is to be known among every language, and tongue, as the essential revealed name of the LORD according to the Gospel (Philippians 2:11), YAH, as in HaYAH (the I AM). The Savior identified His name as “I AM” (YAH, see John 8:58). The prophet Isaiah identified the name of salvation as YAH (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV). And “shua” means “my help”, as in “my salvation.” To reject the revealed name of YAHSHUA, which was given by the angel (Matthew 1:21) is to stand condemned (John 3:18). YAHSHUA is shortened from the name YAHOSHUA, which is commonly spelled Yehoshua largely due to the Jewish practice of hiding the name YAH, by adding vowels to YHWH, the Tetragrammaton, from the Hebrew vowels of Eloah, which caused the false Yeh, as a result, scholars would consider YAHOSHUA a philological impossibility, however, they are mistaken. What does the name Jehovah mean in Hebrew? Je-hovah, “hovah” in Hebrew means, “Ruin, Mischief, and Calamity” (see Strong’s #1942, #1943). The Jewish Encyclopedia, states, under the name “Jehovah,” “This name is commonly represented in modern translations by the form Jehovah, which, however, is a philological impossibility” (p. 160). The Jehovah’s Witnesses admittedly make a similar reference that the name Jehovah is inferior, in their book: Let Your Name Be Sanctified (p. 16). Undoubtedly, the name Jehovah is not the revealed name of the LORD! Many Christian clergy know the truth that the name Jehovah is bogus. Still, due to their tradition, or the fact that this name erroneously appears in the King James Version of the Bible, they hold to this euphonious name for the sake of their tradition, which makes void the revelation of God (Mark 7:6-7). The Lord has a warning for them, “And now, O priests (pastors and teachers), this commandment is for you. If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to My name,” says the LORD of hosts, “I will send a curse upon you, Yes, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart” (Malachi 2:1-2). Satan is deceiving the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Despite being told the truth of the one name of salvation, YAHSHUA, they will hold to the name Jesus and Jehovah, despite never having been revealed by the LORD. Many will reject the name YAHSHUA leaving only a few, and being of the many despite the admonishment: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14). The name Jesus was never revealed by the LORD, or an angel of the Lord, and history proves this, as eminent historian Ernest Renan acknowledged that the Savior was never in His lifetime called “Jesus” (The Life of Jesus, p. 90). The name Jesus, in its present form, has only existed since the 17th century.

@@Scott23882 But the word Jehovah is a man-made name derived from YHWH, then written in the opposite way for the sake of left to right reading, changing the W to V as the Germans would do, and then adding vowels from the word Adonai. Something like that. And when the J sound came into the English language that word came to sound like Jehovah. This was certainly not a name or word Jesus would have ever heard, but then neither is Jesus - even though "there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." It's all too complicated. Just use your own language and say, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We all know who/what you’re talking about when you use those terms. If you need to be technical about it. God/Elohim is/can be plural - "And God [Elohim] said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness:..." There are no personal pronouns for God in the Bible for a reason. God [Elohim] is more than one. It is the "Word" of John 1 that made everything that was made, and He was incarnated as Immanuel (God with us) the only begotten Son of God/Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus the Messiah. It is only after the Immaculate Conception that the terms God the Father, and the Son of God are appropriate. You can't be a Father until you have begotten someone, and you can't be begotten without a Father. The Word was not ever created, He was incarnated. God the Father and the Son of God have always *shared* the same Holy Spirit. And these three are one. “I and my Father are one.” How is that possible? They *share* the same Holy Spirit.

True. She was. Just as the angel told her - as per Luke 1 "Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom, there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, *and* the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: *therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.* Shall be called the child of the Holy Ghost ??
