16:53 gosh, same I remember seeing the inability to bond with Blades and thinking "Ok, he's probably gonna leave the party sometime." Then comes the moment where he starts to lose against Malos, and my thoughts earlier come back to the forefront as I realized "Oh no!"

I'm 90% sure the sharing life force is explained by the fact that pyra is the aegis and holds the code for all life in the world. Sure being the aegis is a catch all but it does make sense. Same way it makes about what happens in the ending. We see other blades share their crystals (Pandoria and haze) so we know the practice is possible.

I never really thought about associating Rex with greed, but in retrospect it does add up. After all, he tells Azurda within the first hour that he's in the Salvaging business "for the cash." Of course, we see that the cash is for his aunt Corinne and everyone else at home in Fonsett Village. In fact, there's even the side quest "Time is Money" where Rex learns about how the transferred money has to go through so many channels, that by the time it arrives, there's hardly anything left.

I think it's a bit unfair to say Pyra is just a dissociative identity of Mythra by the end, since they do completely split off into separate people.

My only problem with the other party members is that other than nia to an extent, they aren’t really important to the main plot other than the progression of Rex’s character, they don’t really have any connection to torna or malos or the aegis’s in general

They generally represent the other major nations of the planet. They are pretty related to the current day situation, with the various national wars, Amalthus's current manipulations and so on.

Loved the segment about Morag & Zeke, love both of them. My favorites are: 1. Zeke, should've been the MC easily, he's a joy everytime he's on screen & his personality goes from deep look into the world to a funny nice guy. 2. Adam, love his personality, love how he had a traumatic look at the Aegis due to Malos & yet tries his best to navigate his relation to Mythra, loved how he's about to be a dad & his relation with Mythra is that of a dad to teenage daughter. Outside of these 2 I like Morag & Poppi the most.

Why are you so mean to best boy Hugo? That one guy was right, there really are only 2 Hugo fans in existence. I loved hugo more than any charatcer in Torna and that's mostly because Hugo was the only character I could comfortably control. Addams group was awful to play as because they died too fast. I prefer my boy Hugo, who can take damage and just be a good tank. I also think Hugo is insanely adorable. In regards to the other characters fom the basegame, I love Nia and Morag. Those accents are the best thing I ever heard in my life. I also just think Morag is cool. And Zeke is obviously amazing. The only thing i actually hate about zeke is his voice line when he opens chests. Which is why I prefer Morag in that sense as a playable character. But everything pales in regards to Rexs Double spinning edge. But yeah, i love the entire cast in XB 2 and I think Tora is funny. I totally would make myself a Robot waifu if i could. And I'm a woman. And you cannot forget the sidequest in Tantal where you help this random lady write a Gay. Erotic. Fanfiction about your party members. She even thinks Morag is a guy. I didn't even really get what was happening until right at the end. I love Xenoblade and Rex and Hugo are the best boys.

I disagree with most the placements, mailnly in how generous you are. I think A- tier should be anything from "Great" to "Perfect", while S- tier is "Beyond perfect" or so good that they overshadow all other characters. I don't think this game had any beyond perfect characters, but the majority of the cast are amazing aditions, who belong in A- tier. I would shift most characters down a tier.

How is this video 40 minutes? There are like only 5 party members in Xenoblade 2 and most of them have a gimmick. Anyways here's a 100% factual ranking: 1: Rex. Master Driver and Mythra. Nuff said, literally nothing can compete. Cool that Rex gets his OP power up only 70% through the game while Shulk's is relegated to the last phase of the final boss and NG+, and is actually UNDERPOWERED for pretty much all of endgame due to losing the Monado. 2: Zeke and Morag. They're both pretty much equal with powerful unique blades, and they're both the only "standard" drivers in the game with basically no gimmicks. I'd say Morag is slightly better due to her having two strong unique blades over one and Zeke being primarily an attacker when Rex already fills that role, but both are pretty average. 3: Nia. While she's absolutely amazing as a character, as a party member she's kinda garbage with an incredibly weak unique blade. (Dromoarch) She's far better served in endgame being in blade form as Rex's blade instead as she's the best healer in the game bar none. However, the only reason why she's not in last place is because of an OP strat you can use only with her involving the DLC blade Crossette which can destroy 99% of bosses with ease. Otherwise she's kinda crap through you are kinda forced to use her for the majority of the game as your only worthwhile healer. 4: Tora. While he can technically be the strongest character in the game with enough patience, it is very much not worth the effort. Grinding endless amounts of Tiger Tiger to get the right ultimate parts and a good sum of e-crystals is akin to torture and should never be forced upon anyone. However, to make Poppi and therefore Tora good, you must grind that accursed minigame HEAVILY. Worst of all the large majority of the manuals needed to craft most of the better parts for Poppi are only found in endgame, the first manual being found around 40% through the game and the second being right before the plot really starts going and doesn't stop for the rest of the game. (Middle of Chapter 6) The rest are only found in the final dungeons. This makes Tora inferior in nearly every part of the game, ESPECIALLY after you get Morag and her TWO unique tank blades which are both very good and combo well into each other. That's the list lol. Not too hard and definitely not worth a 40 minute video with only 4/5 entries.

Ether crystals can also be bought from bards in ng+ so poppi becomes far more viable after your first playthrough

"No gimmicks" I guess you didn't play New Game+, or else you would've seen the full power of Zeke granted by being a Blade Eater reflected in gameplay to gain ludicrous DPS.
