In Norse Mythology it is said Baldr is one of the strongest Gods however Thor and Odin are above him, in a fight Thor would win and can incapacitate Baldr and by the time Baldr recovers Thor would've recovered 3 times over and it would have the same outcome, its either Thor wins or it is considered a Draw either way, Baldr wont win.

These two were the only Aesir that really made you feel like you were taking on the Norse pantheon. Baldur sending Kratos flying with his bare hands and clearly taking the skill advantage in hand to hand combat, Thor straight up overpowering Kratos and killing/KOing (I see this debated a lot amongst fans of what actually happened) and bringing him back just to keep fighting. Even without the curse, Baldur showed more endurance than Thor. Dude took many attacks from the blade of chaos and the axe in the final battle and managed to fight as if nothing had happened. Not to mention that after these damages, Baldur already appeared without scars.

In Thor’s defense he got hit with the axe that had, the world serpents poison on it. That the poison supposed to kill him in Ragnarok. That’s why he does not regenerate that cut on his stomach.

The first time I played GoW and played through the first fight with Baldur, it was the most fun I had playing a game in a very long time at that point. Even if the had just a couple hours of prep time, Thor would kill him since he most likely knows his weakness. Also Thor fought a stronger Kratos and seemed to be some what on par with holding back Kratos Baldur didn't manage to take on boy and Kratos at once, but the only thing boy adds on is a slight distraction considering it was him before he could lift big boulders.
