I love how they not only killed AI spawn, reduced boar value, but also increased metabolism so we have to constantly hunt instead of being allowed to relax after nerfing tracking so hard it's practically useless. Thanks Isle! Update Funnily enough, I left a fairly simple comment in general feedback saying to "fix the shit that broke from the new update." Which got some support. I went back to have a look and see if it got more traction, and it was deleted without a word from moderation. Seems they still can't handle being called out! Update once again! So as of this update, the Isle had an update and a hot fix on 8/12. Seemingly though its fixed some things, it has also made a lot of issues worse. Again. How do they manage to make things worse for a month straight lmfao

Funniest thing I've seen from Utahs in update 5, is a pack of 4 adults running around the beach killing and eating turtles, a food that's not even on their diet. Most Utah players are mixpackers or cowards now, few are up for teamwork and coordinated hunts. As a Utah player, I'm disappointed.

I've seen quite a couple of utah packs actually go out and hunt. I somehow kept my carno from update 4.5 in one of the official servers which was fully grown, and since I didn't want to keep the default skin, I decided to run around and see if anything wanted to fight me so I could go down with a fight. I ended up fighting a pack of utahs, they did very well, I managed to kill a lot of them until I bled out. Very fun fight now that pounce actually works, at least now I don't feel like a god against utahs while playing as carno, which is actually nice.

I guess finding a good nice balance for food drain is hard. A grey wolf weighs on average 40 kg (90 lbs.) and needs an average minimum of 1,1 kg (2,5 lbs.) to survive, but more to successfully reproduce. Thats 2,75% of its body weight. If an Utahraptor has the same metabolic rate and it weighs 500 kg (1100 lbs.) it would need to eat 13,75 kg (30 lbs.) a day to not starve. With how long the isle days are, 4 adult utah raptors with a combined weight of 2000 kg could live 32 days of an adult carno carcass weighing 1800 kg if it would be 100% edible for them. Now... how do you balance that so that it's fun with The Isle days taking roughly 17 minutes. Do you want to encourage PvP or can a utah Pack eat a boar every 17 minutes and be well off? Just asking questions

I didnt look into how long food drain takes etc., i was just trying to question: "How the heck do we want to balance this?" is actually not that easy of a question when considering a survival game. But it would be great to get some actual numbers of food drain and stuff! After all, is it fun for 4 adult utahs to not have to hunt anything after killing an adult carno for 9 hours, because that's how long the body keeps them fed?

The problem with The Isle is that the devs just like to say the players just suck when a big part of the community complains about something. When progression was fully implemented, they ripped the sandbox mode from us and basically told us to cry a river when people were rightfully confused and frustrated. My enjoyment from this game was largely due to the maps you used to be able to make, and the community just meeting up in certain spots of said maps to just mess around.

Also, with the new update it is so hard to play as a ptera. The fish float in the air (while still in the animation of swimming in a group,) and slowly float down into the water. You cant get them while in the air, and when they finally get down into the water, you cant skim to eat them because they sit there. It is so hard to hunt because you have such little health and you start with such little food.

whole chicken bones and all i think is bigger then those raptors stomachs irl tbh so that definitly would make that raptor feel stuffed and make it not want to move around at all and then it would be good for the rest of the day maybe even 2 depending how much like alligators and snakes they are but since there warm blooded id assume one day
