Another theory is that the format suits you better. Stopping, pausing, and rewinding on command have clear advantages. You can also listen to this when you're in the mood to learn, without distractions from other students. Teaching a room full of students while keeping order is a very difficult thing to do, and sadly it is impossible to adapt to every single student. Remember, "don't blame the player, blame the game". Most teachers do their best with the tools they're provided, but the system kinda sucks. That said, I prefer to find info alone and use teachers more for guidance, it is up to me to write the tests after all.

Getting ahead of my year by learning about this during the quarantine, I already feel pretty confident with this subject. Thanks for being awesome! Stay safe my dude!
So - I am 65 and was severely unable to do math in high school. I did not have teachers who were able to help me at the time and so I graduated with Math 10 which was basic Geometry. If you have a chance to learn math and become really proficient in it you will open many doors that are firmly closed if you don't have math skills. I was offered many opportunities (fully paid tuition to complete a Marine Engineering First Class) but I was unable to do it because I could do the math! I know you hear this all the time - but trust me with 2020 hindsight - learn it if you can!

for those who might be confused on the angle degree calculation part, just click shift on your calculator first then the trig function that you would use because you need to find the inverse function, that’s why when you click shift, the -1 will show on its right side. i was so confused too when he arrived at 51.34 when mine was 0.0218

The last time I looked at Trigonometry was nearly 20 years ago. My teacher for the course didn't take his time to explain the material and I was always left wondering "Why am I doing this? What is this for?" I was just told to memorize it, and that killed my curiosity. I stopped going to Dr Aiken's classes, failed. I've watched a lot of your videos in the last couple of years and wish I had this back then, along with ChatGPT and a smartphone! Imagine my surprise when I found out the basic calculator on my phone can calculate arc sine, arc cosine, etc! I had to pay $80 for a TI-84 back in the day lmao I love to learn and I'm so thankful that you make so many quality lessons, I appreciate it and wish you and other life-long students the best

This is not hyperbole: I like how he can just upload a video about this math, and explain everything the anyone can understand in 20minutes, but a teacher can’t even explain this in a whole year and at the end of the year it is still confusing. HUGE CREDIT!!!!!!

He hasn’t explained anything. He’s merely thrown some stuff out there and said push this button on your calculator-and then he repeats himself over and over. This tiny bit of in media res could have been conveyed in about forty-five seconds.
