It was a good explanation of the calculations although I wish he would have explained WHY you would want to find the root mean square of a group of values. Root Mean Square (RMS) is a statistical measure used to quantify the average magnitude of a set of values. We use RMS to calculate average values that are negative and positive. We look at it as a total magnitude of each value. For example is you're measuring vibrations, your data could be be negative and positive(vibrating up and down) but say we care about the average vibration distance(regardless of direction), we use RMS in this case.

Sir you are calculating rms of velocity, but you are pronounciating speed. Why??

@@nickbutler7390 so is it actually speed or velocity? and what would happen if i considered average velocity instead of avg speed? would the result be zero?
