Two great ways to prove that two single variable functions are inverses of each other by checking to see if their composition equals x. Would the inverse of the inverse function of a function result in the original function. Consider: The anti-derivative of the derivative of a function gives back the original function. For the question with x+3 in the denominator, shouldn't you use cases to see if x+3 as a whole is greater or less than 0? Because if x+3 as a whole was negative, you would have to flip the inequality sign.
