Travelling wave n resonance theory come under place theory?

A sound impulse sends a wave sweeping along the basilar membrane. As the wave moves along the membrane, its amplitude increases until it reaches a maximum, then falls off sharply until the wave dies out. The point where it reaches maximum peak is defined by travelling wave theory....Incidentally, at the same point it resonates the basilar membrane with maximum frequency...because of the structure of basilar membrane....so logically place theory is an extension of travelling wave theory...

From where the action potentials are coming determines the pitch…the pattern of action potentials (not number) also determine the pitch
