I agree that this is a very good theory. Every piece seems to fit but I am confused about something. At Starshine legacy there is one episode ( episode 2 lvl 3 with Lisa ) where you can see a drawing from a research that was created by professor Giobertus. Where you can see that Garnok was locked up under the ocean but not close to the area named Devil's gap. The place you see at the drawing looks like the place we all know like the Golden hills. Something is missing but i can't relate what it needs to be. If garnok lives at Devil's Gap, why makes the professor a drawing from the Goldenhills ?So that means that there is maybe something we haven't seen yet. Do you or somebody have a theory behind this ?

I believe that UFO is either just some sort of easter egg or another ship that crashed. *The* ship, the one with Garnok, is still at the bottom of the ocean - or Devil's Gap ;)

I just felt like i wanted to put my mini theories about Ashland here cause yeah, my theories about ashland begins with the snow witch, i believe that the secret dinosaurs dale(don't know what it's name is in English) was once a beautiful place full with flowers and a huge lake, and in the dale there were a little village, but one day the ice witch just at that time known as a normal witch built up her own place in the dale, but some villagers that was not living in the village soon known as ashland but living in a village off there own were scared of the witch and wanted to drive her out from the beautiful dale. they hunted down the witch, and tried to scare her out, she told them that she was to stay in the dale. The villagers just got more and more angry with every try to chase the witch out that they soon attacked her house with fire until it burned to the ground leaving the witch hurt and filled with pure anger. The witch swore to make them pay for what they had done. With her magic she fired an ice spell that spread all over the dale (except for ashland) that dropped the temperature as fast as you could count to 1. All the villagers died off the cold while the witch with her magic survived an built her home in a cave now filled with ice and snow, she later found out about the other village still filled with beauty, she got so jealous that they had it beautiful and not her even touch it was her own fault that she lived in the cold dale, she traveled to the village and fired her most powerful spell she had ever made at the volcano that was located in the village. The volcano exploded and the lava purred out over the village and the villagers panicked but all got swallowed by the lava. The witch now weakened managed to get back to her cave where she in a last try to live opened an pandorian portal to take her to pandoria where she would heal, but she died just after opening the portal and leaving all the damage she had done behind her and the portal to be forever open (that is why we hear the strange sound every time we get close to that cave) silly theory know xD just wanted to share it

Amethyst 13 its a pretty good theory, although im not sure if the lave really poured out over the village. if it did, the lave would be turned into obsidian (lavastone) due to cooling. its just what i think, but everything's possible! :)

Yeay a new theory! :D I really think this theory makes a lot of sense and I like that it considers how Jorvik could have changed over all these years. Personally I made another theory about where Garnok is today and I would love to discuss it with you. So after the valley of the hidden dinosaur was released a few NPCs talked about the volcano Garnoks Fury which is located in the closed area of the valley. We also do know that the valley was created by a big impact when a metor crashed to the island. Nick Stonegrounds also talks about the theory that some alien material could be the cause for the unnatural cold in the valley. Also in frozen mist valley we have some strang ice formation that reminded me always of some kind of tentacles. So here is my conclusion. I think the big impact that created the valley was the spaceship with Garnok crashing down on Jorvik. He might was in some kind of cold sleep during the transport but the crash set free the magic which kept him in this cold sleep causing the unnatural cold in the valley. The tentacle ice formations could mean that Garnok was actually there when the impact happened. This would also explain why even common people in Jorvik know at least the name of Garnok. Something like in ancient times it was well known that Garnoks space ship crashed at this place but over the years it became some kind of legend or story and now only the name Garnoks Fury remains. Another hint that the valley is in important place for the Druids or the Dark Riders/Mr. Sands is that there is a portal located at Isendell. It's the same kind of portal we use to go to the secret stone ring but the sounds of the portals remind me more of the ones the shadowseekers make so it might be a portal linked to Pandoria or to a place our enemys use as a hideout. Sorry for the long comment, maybe you find the time to read it and let me know what you think about it :)

I've never heard a theory from this angle, and it's quite interesting! I like the part that they used cold sleep to contain Garnok which was released upon Dino Valley when the ship crashed. I haven't been to Isendell for a long time, have to go there and check it out since I don't remember it being a portal there xD Just out of curiosity and to continue the discussion, if the ship crashed in Dino Valley, where is Garnok now? Underneath the ice somewhere?

Thanks for taking the time to actually read this :D About the portal, you see it best during nighttime and the sound is quite low but if you ride really close to it you should be able to hear it (if SSO hasn't changed it. I haven't been there for a while) Hmm that's a good point, it would be pretty hard for him to move under the ice so he should be still there, however in the previous games it was always said he is under the sea which would contradic the theory above and your theory has a better explaination for this matter. Especially when we think about how afraid Jarlaheims citizens are of Devils Gap.

Jamie Darklake ice melts, there could be patches that were normal sea before garnok crashed and froze it all, after all there is a lot of ice there and usually it's only a layer on the top that freezes so maybe he got under there somehow and then somehow got into the ocean. There's also a theory on garnok being under that captain guy in cape west's boat, I can't remember the name or title of the yt video/creator, there's a map.somewhere and there's a tentacled creature under the boat so maybe that's where the jorvegians believe he is if they put it on a map

Yet again impressed with the fandom's theories. Very good reasoning, with great evidence to back it all up. Perhaps the Devil's Gap is named "Devil's Gap" _because_ Garnok resides there (him/it being the "devil"). But I do have a burning question, which is why a civilization would build a city right next to it? It's quite dangerous? Unless they have no idea of the danger it possibly holds, but having myths and legends about it (but those not being quite so terrifying that they would avoid getting close to it). Also, if the Devil's Gap is not flat and instead shaped like the Cauldron in Epona (with a deep, hollowed-out bottom), and it once was filled with water (or the entire area around it was an ocean), it would explain how Garnok got there initially (the crash could have occurred there and broken through the bottom of the sea to create such a "crater", or it was just a deep-ocean ravine before the crash that the spaceship(?) landed in). Also, even though this could just be something unrelated, I noticed that on Paddock Island, at the edges of the Jarlasson family's farm, the land slopes into the water (right next to the fishing dock) and past the Sunfield farm, where Martina Sunfield instructs the player to throw out the fish leftover bits (if I remember correctly) from the quests for the horse market while it's at Jorvik Stables. That could be another piece of evidence to prove that part of Jorvik, specifically part of the Harvest Counties, was once submerged. And the ocean is right next to it, too! That's what I think, but I could be wrong :') Thank you for another amazing video, and I appreciate the person who first came up with the theory of Garnok being in the Devil's Gap ahhaa ^^

ohhh the cauldron, i knew i forgot something. as a fan of science fiction: any prisoner is being guided by several escort-vehicles, so what if the crash of Garnok's ship made a blast and the escort ufo's crashed down too? that could explain the cauldron, devil's gap (the white snowy place, ahhh i always forget the name where the old dying tree is) and ashland, and even more weird spots on the map. like the weird shape of the the valedale lake, the strange looking mirror lake and even the place where PI lives now, a swamp in the middle of mountains? and because the old kings road is broken

I agree that Garnok is in Devils gap. I thought that when I first did the quests with the gate. I think the map supports this as all around the gap is mountains in a rough circle, like you would get from a meteor crater. The start of the video with the runes is especially interesting. I guess the horse and rider are Aideen, what I am wondering is are the horse people and the crash related to the reason our soul horses are special and can talk to us. it could be they are the horse people or their great grand children, or it could be that some magic rubbed off on the horse Aideen is riding. The other question is how are Aideen and the horse there in the first place if she was there before 'the light' how have they survived on a land with no life and if she came from a different planet where? These are just my initial thought if anyone has any opinions please put them I think they could be quite interesting.

some People Say, garnok was crashed behind Valedale Village, so He is in the hidden dinosaur place. (Sorry i dont know how its called in english^^) so. the npcs at this place said, the dead dinosaur was killed by an meteor, if I remember correctly. its been a long time ago since i played those quests XD maybe it wasn't a normal meteor which killed the dinosaur, maybe it was ecactly the starship whith garnok. this could explain, why the npc, which needed the Photos from the hidden dinosaur place, said we arent allowed to go closer to this strange lights we all know. you can't find it yet. it has been in the list of secret places for ages know, but nobody had been able to find it since dino valley was released. so it has to be in a still closed area or isn't even in the game yet. It's like bread island in epona that's in the list but nowhere to be found on the map yet.

Hey! I really think that Garnok is in Devil's gap. At first that race which Alex raced with Katja I definitely think it was Garnok. Now my theory, we all remember that race in Gallopers keep when we transformed into that person without head and with that black and orange horse ( I really don't know his name now :d) but yeah, if u remember, there was a town with ocean at start. It was Jarlaheim. We were running through the gate which is connecting Jarlaheim and Devil's gap. If u remember there was water and... of course a monster. I think we were running in the Devil's gap before we ran through the gate. And I think the monster was Garnok bcs it looked like it.

There are some games like "Starstable The autumn rider" that seems to take place after Starshine. In this period we don't actually hear much about magic and Garnok from the jorvikians.

What about the Jester from the Nilmer's Highland? Why does he have the same pink stars shining around him? People only talk about the 'pandoric stars' that Fripp or Nic's fridge have, but the Jester has them too. But why? Maybe you could investigate this and try to clear things out? Hey Northena! I have an interesting theory you can talk about when it comes to this new story quests! I read this theory about these new story quests and that we didn’t save Anne and such. Sadly I can’t give that person credit because I read it from another person who didn’t give that person cred. But anyway let’s talk about that theory. The theory is about that person we saw in that purple crystal. Some say that this might not be Anne, and that it is someone else. Did anyone notice that even though we went to Pandoria, we still wasn’t in this “prison island” where Anne is trapped? If you look at that bar underneath your map that tells you where you are, it only said Pandoria and not Prison Island. That girl said that we got tricked to think that this person is Anne, just so we can keep look at the wrong places so we won’t be able to find her. Darko said that “this girl is our plan B, just in case our plan don’t work out as we want”. Maybe she actually is a fourth dark rider? Maybe Darko knew that we was coming, so he staged all this. Trapping this girl in this crystal on purpose making her acting she was Anne, so he could trap us in Pandoria as well? At least he did try to catch us so he could prison us as well. He actually went so far as going through the portal to try to catch us. Did you notice how “Anne” just said that “Garnok can’t be stopped”? I highly doubt Anne would say that even though she has been trapped in Pandoria for a while. Anne know that Isn’t true, because as long as all the four Soul Riders are together, they can stop Garnok from being too powerful. Are you with me? This is an interesting theory and therefore I wanted to share it with you. And also let’s talk about where this place Avalon says that this “Gray” something person is. I also read a theory about that this person may be in Ashland. Avalon said that he is somewhere north. Ashland is as far north as we can get in this game, I think, therefore he may be in there. Ashland is a dangerous place. I’ve seen a video about someone glitching into this place, and in Ashland, there is just a little house right by the foot of this Volcano which is in Ashland’s. Maybe this mr. gray something (don’t remember his name” is in there. Avalon said that only witches dare to go inside this place where this person is. Therefore he may be taking about Ashland’s, and that the next time we get story quests, we will open Ashland’s as well

Another theory to where garnok is: you know the place in dino valley where the gate is (i forgot all the names) and where you can buy fjord horses maybe the people there a trying to hide garnok who is maybe frozen or locked up there.

I have some sort of theory I don't really know if it makes sense but oh well. before pandoria was opened as you can see at the start of the video there is horse statues on the bridge. They are also at valedale. Now I think they look similar to Concorde ( same tail etc ). BUT the week before pandoria was released they changed. Now my thought is.. possibly Concorde was stuck in the statue like Anne is stuck in the crystal thing. Maybe Concordes body is stuck in the statue but his soul and life is somewhere else like pandoria. Maybe Dark Core has taken his soul and life from pandoria if it was there, taken it to his body and hid him from the soul Riders etc. Possibly something similar to those lines. Does that make sense? I simply think that Garnok did escape the ship, only to become stuck in Devil's Gap. If you think about it though, that 'light' that was seen could've been the ship crashing into the ocean. But it also could've crashed into Dino Valley, as, the magic from Garnok could've been released causing it to be cold. And the volcano we were told about...what if SSO makes the game where Garnok IS released, and, the volcano in Dino Valley erupts, releasing Garnok and his fury upon Jorvik, until we find a way to stop it? Also, you should make a theory on the airplane you see flying in the sky randomly, or, why you can Silverglade Castle almost every where you go.

I believe that garnok is near golden hills city I forgot the name . Because look at the map of where garnoks ship fell under the ocean there is a city floating city and not floating in the sky it's above water just like golden hills and there is a ship above it maybe that had used to be captain brus ship or maybe his fathers ship.

I agree that this is a very good theory. Every piece seems to fit but I am confused about something. At Starshine legacy there is one episode ( episode 2 lvl 3 with Lisa ) where you can see a drawing from a research that was created by professor Giobertus. Where you can see that Garnok was locked up under the ocean but not close to the area named Devil's gap. The place you see at the drawing looks like the place we all know like the Golden hills. Something is missing but i can't relate what it needs to be. If garnok lives at Devil's Gap, why makes the professor a drawing from the Goldenhills ?So that means that there is maybe something we haven't seen yet. Does somebody have a theory behind this ?

I think I've found the picture you're referring too. I don't think it necessarily means this happens outside of Golden Hills and close to shore. I believe they made that picture to show clearly that Garnok is in the ocean somewhere outside of Jorvik, but not made the proportions correctly. For example, the person in the water is almost as big as Garnok x)

My friend and I were exploring Jarlaheim and then we wanted to see what was in Devil's Gap and I jumped on a hill and all I saw behind the gate was a piece of land, there might have been water there but it was all black. Every time you try and get into that area you will get a strike.

This seems pretty accurate but did theres a ship at jorvik all redy, that we can find. Above the baronesse unfinished race track (might not be the same translasjon AS IT is supost to be😅) theres a ship or an UFO or what ever it is. Maybe he was moved from the ship and that is the ship he arrived in. He did ascape arter all untill the Soul riders stoppes him. Any toughts?

Next to dews farm in epona, there is a foggy area called "Guardians Dale" it has 4 statues of these giant horses and the 5th one is broken. There is a long stair way that goes to nothing, but I'm pretty sure it may have something to do with this

i have a theory about this theory. If you look at the pictures on the walls in episode 3 in ssl (star shine legacy) at 1:45 when Garnok is locked up you can see stones besides him that i think can be the stones around devils gap (where you can also see a gap/opening that looks like the gap at 1:45 where the horse creatures locked Garnok up).

I agree in part with the devil's gap theory, but there was a main story quest where at dark core hq, Justin falls into the ocean, and we jump after him, but our horse can feel Garnok trying to take control of us, so he jumps into the water after us and flies away. That makes me think that maybe devils gap was where they landed, but Garnok is so big that he covers the whole underside of Jorvik, stretching out into the ocean. also that the ship was destroyed and pieces of it were scattered all over jorvik.

So the wreck of a crashed spaceship near the Baroness' estate (by old GED oil fields) must have either been an escape pod or a ship escorting the prisoner ship holding Garnok and his generals. What do you think about that? Dark Core is out in the ocean on their oil ridge trying to free Garnok. But he's in Pandora. (Excuse spelling). Is there a possible bridge in Garnok's prison ship that enables him to reach Pandora? Like when we use a gate to get Pandora. But didn't Ydrik say we doomed his world Pandora by sealing Garnok there?

Yup, I SO Agree with that theory! I mean, why would the lock and key guy (i forgot his name) be SO scared of it because he was MAYBE trapped in there if Garnok wasnt down there? But i also have another theory of where he is. Have you ever been to that area in Dino where it looks like a cave blocked off by Ice teeth? Well, when you approach there you see a big red portal or spirit awaken or appear. IF that is Garnok who locked him in there? Or was the Frozen Vale Lake once an ocean? Because if you look at the dinosaur, it is an underwater dinosaur. How could the bones have gotten there still in tact and be an underwater animal? So I think that Garnok was and still is to this day imprisoned in that cave in the portal, maybe cage, behind the ice teeth. (somehow i think im right sometimes LOL) -Gloria Applemountain

There's an old picture and a newsarticle Linda found in the first SSL game where Mr. Sands and the other seamen raise a "sea monster" from the ocean and before any scientists can investigate it the seamen throw it back to the ocean. The seamonster in that picture is quite small, nothing like the huge monster we see in Devil's gap, so what if the seamen aka the commanders of Garnok lied and instead of really dropping the monster back to the sea they dropped it to the Devil's Gap? During the centuries Garnok has gained more power and gained his size back but isn't yet capable of getting out of the Gap by himself. And to return his full power Mr. Sands and the other dark riders need the lost Light Ceremony book as it has the information how the soulrider perform to prevent Garnok, they need the fourth Dark rider (as there's four soulriders) to be able to do the Light Ceremony backwards to make Garnok stronger and able to break free from the Gap. As for now they don't have the fourth Dark Rider as Justin wasn't the right guy for the job (yet atleast) and are missing a dark horse too.

Sorry to break it to you all, i have some facts that kind of debunk this whole thing. If you play starstable autumn rider you have acess to devils gap, it looks the same as it does in starshine legacy but without the tentavles and the shadiness, you can also ride around in the gaps and i see no garnok there. In starshine legacy you compete against katja and if you've competed against her in sso and so on you know she is a master of creating nightmares, the shadiness and the tentacles maybe was only an illusion katja made to alex as she always do?

I believe the theory of Garnok being in Devils Gap, because if you go inside of Devil's Gap, there are lots of paths in which the sides of the paths fall into nothing, like the StarShine Legacy games where Alex is racing Katja. And ESPECIALLY when you get to the end of the maze of paths, there is a body of water that seems to go on forever, yet it leads to nothing and you cannot see the other side.

I just found out that sso map of Jorvik is exactly the same as a map in star stable. Hoewer the landscape is different but the shape is very similiar. Based on this we can try to predict how the rest of the Jorvik will look like in future :D Just a fun fact :DD
