Vampire Fan 17 actually it does DNA and no wanted to be there Caroline loved them like their own they have to moms, which is good but jo will always be there mom 2, just because a parent died before you were born doesn't mean you just act as they never existed the girls would not be so sad if they didn't have a connection with their mom Caroline is their mom to but she was also a surrogate and Rick will always respect her for being a mother figure in their life because Rick knows they need a mother figure in their life period to teach them how to become young ladies so it doesn't take away from what Caroline did but jo was taken from them on her wedding day and this gives them closure.

Such a happy sad scene! I feel Josie didn’t want Jo to leave due to she found someone who she could feel more related to. I mean sure she loves Caroline because that’s her mom but like she said in scenes before, Lizzie was always looking like and acting like Caroline where as Josie felt more connected with Jo. Probably why she didn’t want Jo to leave.

@Vampire Fan 17 Its pretty obvious josie felt a connection as soon as she saw her. Lizzie took after caroline while josie took after jo, they both inherited traits from jo but lizzie is alot more like caroline than josie tbh.

If it wasn't for the coven moving them to Caroline they'd be dead just like their mom. That's a little sick to think Jo should mean nothing to them like she chose to be murdered and not give birth to them or raise them.

This episode holds a special place in my heart. This is the closure Alaric needed. Jo’s death was one of the saddest moments on TVD. This is perfect writing. So sensitive. So emotional. It takes me everything time. What a wonderful job they did. Josie is Jo at her finest and I loved to see their connection. Amazing.

I literally cried throughout the episode. My #TVD heart. ❤️😭 Alaric and Jo got their closure. And I can't remember when I cried that hard after TVD finale. Not even Klaus's death made me sob like a baby.
