Hayley gave Hope away to Rebekah as soon as she was born, then when she got her back left her with Elijah or Freya most of the time. The only time she actually took care of her daughter was when she was forced to because everyone else was in some prison world and even then, she was more focused on getting them out. Yeah, you're right, Hayley is an amazing mom. I would love to have a mom like that. (Seriously though, Freya always did more for Hope than Hayley. Even Caroline is a better mother even though she"s not even the biological mom of her twins and had no reason to take care of them, yet she did.

As soon as she got to see hope again, she would never leave her side until she was forced to. Also, when she had to give Hope to Rebekah, she would cry everyday and even snapped at Elijah. She was a very good mother.

Honestly, this was the best way they could have done justice to Hayley’s character. Phoebe Tonkin decided to leave the show, so that’s why Hayley was in the first episode for a few scenes and didn’t reappear until the fourth episode of the season or so.

Hayley has to be one of the best moms in any tv series. Beautiful, beautiful video! It showed how special is the relationship between a mom and her daughter. And especially theirs. Because their lives were so difficult, hard. Their story is tragic and sad. And you showed it perfectly. Klaus was type of charachter who was really selfish, and he never imagined he would die for someone just because he loves that person so much, but Hope made that come true. She woke up human side in him. He sacrificied himself for the sake of his daughter, like it should be, parents will always do everything for their child, just like Klaus and Hayley did. He already had lived 1000 years, but there was whole new life in front of his daughter, and he let her to live that life.

Whilst she was a bit unsure in the beginning and also spirited, she was a calm but loving and experienced and wise mum in the end who died for her daughter (actually two times but I think the fans always forget the first time).

Amazing video! I love everyting about it! Hope and Hayley's relationship is so beautiful! I know that many people will disagree with me, but I believe that Hope is one of the reasons her mom is dead. I'm not saying she is the only one to blame, but she was a part of it. And this will hunt her for the rest of her life. But their relationship was so special, and it was special for us because it's not very often that we can see a relationship between a parent and a child for such a long period of time - since Hayley was pregnant, to Hope becoming a teenager.

Hayley was the most incredible mother. Before she knew about Hope she was a free spirit werewolf who drank, had sex and travelled. After she gave birth to Hope she spent as much time as she could with her. Even after she got married she spent the night looking at Hope sleeping... she killed herself to protect her daughter and she forgave Hope for putting her in a sleeping spell and hiding her which led to being abducted and tortured.

Warning! Anyone who reads this comment will hate me for the first half, but hear me out! When Hayley made her first debut on TVD, I hated her. I thought she was the most annoying character in the whole show, that served as a pathetic plot device. When we (as the audience) found out she was pregnant, I thought it was lazy writing. Then she got more screen time on The Originals, and I thought, oh great. But I started to see her as a different character as time went on and I got invested in the spin-off. She was fierce, and when Hope was born I started to love Hayley. The things that I deemed “annoying” were quickly replaced by admiration when we got to see her as a total badass mama who loved her child more than anything. Honestly, that is character growth. My opinion on Hayley has changed drastically, and Phoebe Tonkin did an amazing job portraying the character. Love the video, and the edits as well!
