It's the esoteric amp manufactures who are still holding on the class A and AB designs. I get it. Having an Amp that weighs 200 lbs and puts out 30 watts is somewhat of a status statement for that group of people.

Gene do you have any other class D amp recs? I’m looking to power a 7 channel system and would like to get around 200 Watts per channel out of a box that doesn’t weigh 150 lbs.

Just a suggestion. I use a (D) Red Dragon audio amp for my front 1.7 Maggies. Previously used an Emotiva stereo amp & 2-mono Outlaw 2200's. Having owned many other amps and receivers over the years, the RD is a new pinnacle in power & clarity for me...

I find if funny that since this is class D with a switching power supply you have no problem believing that this unit can put out 1800 watts, But years ago when reviewing a Sunfire Receiver rated 1400 watts you wrote the power supply is not capable of delivering this , but his tracking down converter is a type of switching power supply.

That's BC the Sunfire amp power claims were bullshit. These Class D amps are more efficient and powerful.

Class D IS .. the future.. Modular and powerfully controlled with Processing units.. How else to get 32 !!! channels of DTS X Pro .. !!! .. Gene.. .... Team ... Make it happen.. build a room for a 32 speaker DTZ pro sound system.. start selling merch and a Patreon. I'm sure some companies would help with some gear for you also .. I can think of " some " that would have great Class D power for you .. *cough* MDX 16 *cough* .. =) haha
