That last adventure was making my heart race! I’ve seen this paradise in real life and it’s all real. Honestly it was so beautiful, I felt like I was dreaming. Next time, I want to do a lot more hiking. I can’t wait to go again! I know what you mean about the guest houses in old buildings having thin walls and creaky floors 😀 but the experience is worth losing some sleep!! The views from Schäfler Ridge were insane!

Ian and Ana, thanks for one of the best, most thorough travel guides to Switzerland. I hope to visit there with my 3 adult kids and fiesty 88 year old mom this July. I had not considered renting a van or even a vehicle but really planned to travel all by train, since I love trains. However this may be a better option, in some places. I was wondering about drivers license requirements. I must research. You inspire me. Thanks for an awesome video!

Ahhh you and your entire family are going to love it!! So happy we could help inspire and plan your dream trip WOOT WOOT! Having a car is always nice because you can go at your own speed and even park at the start of most epic hikes like Stoos Ridge, Schafler Ridge, and most mountain towns like Murren, Wengen, etc! Driving around was just so magical in this country. The thing about trains is that you will have unreal views but you can't pull over and hangout at some of the most beautiful places. With a car you can stop for lunch anywhere, and viewpoints! Be careful and have the best trip ever!

A great list of Swiss Must-Dos! The only thing that my experiences might add is to do it as soon as you can! Having visited quite a few times in my younger travelling days I can watch this type of travelogue with the satisfying knowledge that I was able to hike through these stunning vistas when 1 - I was fit enough to truly enjoy it. 2 - The crush of fellow tourists was way less. 3 - Though expensive, the damage to my retirement finances was WAY less then than it would be now! 4 - In those days you HAD to do it in person. NOW you can enjoy or reminisce from the comfort of your own rocking chair! 👍👍😉😊

14:41 I grew up on Alps, right between Mount Marcy and Matterhorn, and one street over from Mt. Everast…. Our neighborhood was called “Heavenly Heights” and all the streets were named after amazing mountains!

Totally a good place to visit. So much of old buildings from the old century. But is a very interesting and cool place. Even is a good place for activities which is better than a theme park. Am i right?😃 Anyways, dear Ian and Ana. Please come again to kuching, sarawak as we need more tourist to come here. I live in Kuching but i am from Miri. Pls do visit my Miri hometown and i will recommend where to visit. Mountain passes can be well enough explored by bus, sometimes train (Oberalp, Bernina), cablecar. I prefer to cycle across them.
