I am feeling the same as you do about being in control. I rather go at a moderate speed and hit every feature on a trail (side hits, jumps, etc) than blast downhill trying to chase a good strava time. I am not racing, just having a good time on my bike.

Hey Tony, I just started getting into mtb about 2-3 months ago at age 56 and so far, it has been a blast. I have two comments for you. Comment #1 Thanks for your professional advice, information about trails and most of all, thanks for taking us all along with you on the ride, both experienced and rookies alike. Comment #2 Dude, have you ever thought about being a comedian! HAHAHA, I LMAO at some of the things you say. I almost feel like I'm stealing when I watch your channel. It's like I am being educated and yet, entertained at the same time. See you on the next one.

thank you for the loop that motivated me to ride my regular bike... i like the extra credit too. i don't like climbing cholla too even on emtb. it might sound a little stupid but i would prefer mathis climbing up.

Tony, with all the filming you do showcasing our beautiful trails in Laguna consider picking up a tool and volunteering through OC Parks or Laguna Canyon Foundation. Our trails are overgrown and full of brake bumps.

After you exit the gate past cholla there is a straight up fire road that parallels cholla too. It is steep though. I think the street you go left on from cyn vista is Silkwood not Madia. Going right is Madia.

Doesn't look like super adventurous trails there, but it looks nice. I want to find some good trails in the San Gabriel Mountains and Angeles National Forest.
