This game will be sitting on my shelf weeks after release without even opening it from the wrapper. I’ve pre-ordered the game for Series X however I don’t plan on playing the game weeks after official release because as we’ve all been seeing lately with games releasing on consoles usually come out with bugs affecting game play such as, FPS issues, Ray-tracing issues and the lists goes on and on. It’s already being stated with FPS issues on PC , I can imagine the issues it will have on consoles on PS5/Series X. I hope 🤞 not but I wouldn’t be surprised.

I just need to have a choice of orange for my lightsaber at the start to have a true enjoyment of the game. The customization feels insane and overwhelming but i will be ready to play the game and my trusty Lego BD-1 will be nearby. I am also trying to get my hands on a copy of the book that details events between the two games.

I honestly think the perfect ending for Cal is him getting killed by Darth Vader in the third game. He sacrifices himself for the Rebellion. He shouldn't be a loose end somewhere in the universe during the OT like Reva. Getting killed by Vader in an epic boss fight would be awesome.

Something I’m noticing from the gameplay is the usability of the dodge button. In fallen order it wasn’t very usable and when doing the standard dodge a lot of the time cal just wouldn’t get out of the way unless you fully dedicated to a roll but the dodges look very smooth and there’s multiple times I’ve seen a unique dodge that opens up attacks on enemies

fps drops are probably due to lack of driver updates. I'm sure day one drivers will fix most of those issues. I'm excited :)

There are two things I didn’t like about Fallen Order. 1 the customization. The ponchos were so boring, i want cool other outfits. And it looks like thats fixed. And the second thing is that backtracking to the ship was a pain in the ass with how the map layout was. Hope thats fixed too.

For me, it makes no sense that you can only have two stances at a time. Absolutely no sense. Single blade, double blade, and dual wield stances can perfectly come from the very same lightsaber hilt, just as they did in Fallen Order. Add the blaster stance, which does not imply any change to the hilt whatsoever, could be just a variation of the single blade stance, and add the crossguard stance, which could be a small add-on attached mid-combat (like the exhaust ports) to the same hilt, to have all stances at the same time. I honestly don't know where they're trying to go with this.

The game looks great & I'll most probably buy it but one big problem that I had with Jedi Fallen Order & based on the trailers this game too is how janky the running animation looks. Like this game is supposed to be 60fps but it looks like 30fps & sometimes 10fps. Not just the running animation but the overall animation whether it's exploring the open world, fighting & even cutscenes don't look smooth at all in both games. If you slow down videos of fight scenes of both games , you can see what I'm talking about. This game needs to be much more smoother than it is right now

Did the devs go into any more detail regarding the dismemberment? Like how often does it happen on humanoid fleshy enemies i.e. stormtroopers and bounty hunters etc. I know they do get their limbs cut off but it didn't look like it happens all to often. Beasts and droids having it happen all the time is no surprise since that was present in fallen order.

i liked Jedi Fallen order and i'm sure i'll like this too, but (and i'm sure it's like just me) I had more fun playing the force unleashed. I feel like that game does a better job at portraying how overpowered jedis and sith are supposed to be and having force lightning, choke, and cool combos that combine different force abilities was seriously amazing.

Hmmm, not so sure they will or even can fix the performance issues. I’m playing through Fallen Order right now and anytime you go into a different area there are major fps drops from having assets loading in. It is like that on pc and ps5, haven’t played on xbox but I imagine it’s the same. But it’s not deal breaker for me, I can handle a little stutter long as it’s not all the time and especially as long as it’s not during the combat.

2:15 You shouldn't be fine with it, at all. Doesn't matter if this is in pre-release. A huge number of AAA games since basically 2020 (if we are humble about it) have been coming out terribly "optimized" even on beefy rigs, many to this day still unfixed. Developers keep doing this on PC, when will everybody listen and start screaming at them for the bare minimum on a product's launch, which is for it to FUNCTION PROPERLY? Look up the more recent releases, absolute disasters when it comes to this. They shouldn't just acknowledge the issue, they should have it taken care of! Shout at them to focus on this if need be, anything below proper performance from a product you are PAYING for should NEVER be tolerated as a "patch for the future". That aside thank you for the in-depth dive, please excuse the air of the rant - not directed at you personally.
