I wish people would stop comparing the sylvers to the jacksons. both of them being a family unit and them doing soul/pop music should be where the comparisons ends. especially with one or two listens to the sylvers' first three lps. they were on another level.
@bigtimemad3 жыл бұрын
They're a very different family group but some of the sylvers music was produced by the lead producer of the Jackson 5 so it sounded similar
@nickfreshalive3 жыл бұрын
@@bigtimemad For sure, but that was also later during the Sylvers' pop period. I still find it inane why they got those comparisons during those first three lps.

This is the absolute jam, one of my faves by the Sylvers. The 3 best kid groups i ever heard was the J5, Sylvers & New Edition, hands down. This is just a beautiful groove that kinda has a haunting sound to it. Leon kinda sounds like Jermaine Jackson in this song. I've got to find a way to get the Sylvers first 3 studio albums. To me this sound of the Sylvers is much better than the disco era sound of Boogie Fever & Hot Line, this music has more heart and soul to it, more thought provoking.

Leon looks like a superhero drawing. He really does look like how we used to draw black superheros back then, even though there weren't any. The hero was thin but had a muscular build. You might or might not see his chest. and you had to make a big circle thing for the head. First, you would draw the letter u in lowercase. Then swing the pencil up from the right end, over like a rainbow back to the left end. No wonder I think he is so handsome. He looks like my child fantasy Black superhero in real life. hahaha.
