I'm loving these Farrow & Ball colors lately! how about you? :D

Green Smoke is beautiful and elegant for walls or cabinets. Thanks, James, for the cats. I love grey cats and cats with round, pudgy faces, both of which go beautifully with Green Smoke.

This is to me like Hague Blue, a classic choice that brings richness and character to a space that works well in places like a living room because it pairs well with wood furniture

I adore this color! I painted my kitchen and living room this color. It’s beautiful. Shifts from green to blue green then more blue depending on the light 😊 it’s gorgeous in matte, which is what I did. Wish I could add pix

Great video, and a fabulous colour! Cheers 😊 Re: colour: I have this theory that you can use colour as a neutral - provided that the “neutral colour” is found in nature For instance: green reads as a “neutral” when used in large amounts because we’re used to green dominating a field of vision (think: a meadow or a forest, where green is the neutral and the accent colours are either bright saturated colours (ie pink in wildflowers) or complimentary (granite grey for a boreal green). Thus, it’s a neutral non-neutral. The PITA is finding the right shade, undertone and lighting and that’s where you want to swatch it out 😅
@rockshot100 Жыл бұрын
Maybe for exteriors it would read as more neutral, but no, this color in no way looks neutral. My opinion, actually a pretty bold and loud color.

Love this color!! It's a much more saturated green than" Sw retreat". I used it for my exterior shutters (northern exposure) doesn't shift too much in color.

Green Smoke, I believe is the New Year’s most gorgeous green already. And I love Preference Red! In fact, as much as it takes after red wine, I’d call this paint color, Cabernet Bliss. Because given that its not just a wine red but with hints of plum and eggplant, mixed in with Concord grapes, yeah. One look or more at this color, we would be pouring ourselves a glass of wine to this. A touch of the bubbly, as some say. 🙂

James, love your videos. I learn so much. Can you talk about how ambient light in a forest out your window might affect interior wall color choices? There may be others to consider too: concrete jungle, desert light, etc. I sense that there is some light science to consider on the environmental effects on light coming in my windows. Thanks friend!

I love their paint, but I can't find it anywhere in the Texas Hill Country. Actually, no where in Texas. I just looked it up and they have 15 showrooms across U.S. and Canada, but not near me. Ugh...They need some more outlets.. I go to BM and SW because they're in my neighborhood. I love Green Smoke. I like both blues and greens. Bravo James 👏 👏 👏

Hi Donna - you can order Farrow and Ball paint and samples online. I live in Houston (Heights) and my local Flagship Paints sells Benjamin Moore and Farrow and Ball.

Farrow and Ball is great paint. Having been to the factory (in Wimborne Dorset England) a couple of times now, it a great firm with lovely people working there... The colour Charlotte's Locks (an orange) is named after one of the girls who works there. Fun fact for you ;)

No more white doors! what colour to pair doors with Green Smoke walls and white trim?
@stevef71395 ай бұрын
It’s pronounced CROMAR-ty. It’s a historic village in Scotland.

Love Green Smoke, I like to think of it as a "subtle" dark green. Your pairings are almost 100% but slipper satin is far better as a trim choice for Green Smoke, it has a similar changeability but still provides contrast. All White is much too stark. Side note, you are saying Cromarty wrong. It's not CrOH-Martie, the emphasis is on the beginning of the word CR-ohmartie, I think F&B has some KZbins from when the color was introduced that talk about the pronunciation.

I like the color talk without all the BS, so this guy is great. But a couple of things, your "red" is pink, sorry. My opinion. It didn't look bad in that first room shown. "Washed out Barbie", would be a good name for that "red". Also, this green would look good with a very small accent of that pale terra cotta color you recently show cased, but not something like trim, that would be too much. This wouldn't be bad as an exterior color scheme. Even white would be too much of a contrast, so only for exteriors.
