That migration took place when people left Maharashtra after lockdown to go at there native places. And it was chaotic because of sudden lockdown, Maharashtra is most industrialized state in India and people migrate to Maharashtra for work. The migration was one time migration and majority of those people are back in Maharashtra for work and livelihood.

Lol having listened to so many podcasts and interviews across YT, one thing I've noticed is whenever Pakistanis talk about India, they mostly talk about the wrong things out here and are under the impression that America and Europe are the perfect regimes in all sorts. Guys you can also learn from the positive aspects of a country to grow yourselves but it's pretty rare to see someone talking about something like this. @@tish20 Couple of points - (1) To be honest Indian democracy is not exactly considered a model by most of the world. Pakistanis are taught to believe that India is poorer, more violent and generally worse off than them - when Dawn publishes an article on Gurgaon this is the representative picture they use -www.dawn.com/news/1251891/ - they don't show the skyscrapers and metro trains. However, despite the myriad issues with Indian democracy - I suspect Pakistan will need to go through a phase similar to what India is right now before becoming like Korea or Taiwan or Japan. (2) I think this narrative game was always going on - but we were only fed one story and took that to be the truth. Now that we are online we can easily see how disgustingly people spin self serving narratives without considering fact or morality. After experiencing the Indian left narrative, the Indian right narrative, the Pakistani narrative, the Al Jazeera narrative and the American left narrative - I am becoming deeply suspicious of any kind of reporting on my country.

I admire the knowledge and understanding of Shehzad. I am impressed with his expression and the way he listens in many interviews. I have a question for all the Muslims particularly from Pakistan. You do not question yourself or do an introspection. Barbarians came to India occupied the land, converted large local population to a very selfish and shallow religion. Don’t you think you people should lead a movement to correct the injustices committed by apologising to Hindus in a manner very similar to what Willy Brandt did in Germany. I think that one move would make both countries win. A win win for both.

At best, all that we can hope between India and Pakistan is that between suspicious neighbors who have no other option other than learning to live with each other. Forget the Aman-ki-Asha bakwaas. Given the 1000- year old history of the Indian subcontinent, this is all we can expect. If day and day put you call India a fascist state, Modi a hitler, compare RSS and BJP to Nazis, Indians have learned to deal with Pakistan with suspicion from a position of strength. And in addition to terror acts in Kaishmir, Pakistan continues to flex its muscle by attacking the Indian parliament and Mumbai downtown. You can talk all American style talk shows but nothing is going to change this reality. After watching enough Pakistan talk shows, it is obvious that there is no asha for any aman in Pakistan towards India. It is as simple.

Uzair was on point about the dynamics between India and Pakistan, It is often dubbed as the D-D-D dogma, Disruption-Discussion-Disruption. It is in the interests of a specific class/organisation of pakistan, that India is continued to be perceived as a mortal threat to pakistan, which justifies their existence, and the amount of privileges they enjoy. Maybe with the escalation of the Afghan issues now, the army would realise they have another issue to justify their overprivileged existence and want to toe a more submissive line on India.

I listen to guys very carefully, not once you say what is good India done over the years. And how can Pakistan implement the same? Just like lifting people out of poverty. India lifted 200 million people out of poverty, with democracy intact. Secondly, you guys still want to believe that India is a poor country that is against Muslim. India also has 1.4 billion people. The GDP per capita of India is around 2000 USD [BDSH 2000 USD, PAK 1300 USD], whereas the Global average is around 18000 USD. So yes, India definitely is a poor country. India also has the worst/highest income inequality in the subcontinent.

In terms of corruption you seem to be equating India with Pakistan and Bangla desh which is completely false particularly after Modi Ji took over. I am not saying, India is not corrupt but it has certainly moved towards less corrupt societies. Also people living in US become blind-folded towards the inadequacies of society there. Of course you spoke about the gun culture. The racism being practiced in that country is the worst form India would have ever seen towards Lower castes. The caste system has been almost abolished in India ( may not be true for Pakistan ). Hindu society has seen reforms since over 150 years. Media criticizes vehemently any small incident in India supported by American press. Americans are socially most primitive even today after Abraham Lincoln and John F Kennedy ( as late as 1962 when he made Universities open). I haven't seen segregation as bad as US? We Indians ( I am including Pakistan etc in that group) criticise ourselves and are ready to ammend but US?

just started watching the episode. sunday night sorted. already about the middle class theory. who says india doesnt have middle class. i am from a very small village in Rajasthan. growing up in early 90's i had never seen a car and handful very old jeeps and very poor people. after the 1991 reforms only i saw people getting rich. my father starting his 1st business from nothing to a crorepati. and from no car to bikes all around and streets full of cars to traffic jams in last 25 years. all thanks to capitalism. i am yet to see the coloniser. also yet to see the colonised. its a very romanticised idea. not true post 1991. my father become tax payer, investor and employ dozens just in last 30 years. we are far from colonisers, so are thousands wealth creators in my town. Last point, a very wise man once said Socialism comes from heart, Capitalism comes from Brain. :)

Wahan humare federal structure ki koi aaukat nahi hoti nahi democratically elected government ki. Aur kashmir mein toh yeh alg hi level par hai. Humne ek federal state ke do tukde kar diye, unka statehood chheen liya bina unse koi discussion kiye aur fir mahino tak ek opressive curfew lagaya, communication block kar di. Jo Kashmiris state ke bahar padhte ya rahte unka paas ghar se mahino paise bhi nahi pahunche. Unke parents kis haal mein the unko kuchh pata nahi chala. Mana humne as a democracy bahut se cheezen achieve ki hain par jinn places mein AFSPA jaise laws decades tak lage hoon unko iss democratic process ka koi hissa nahi mila hai. Manipur mein 1958 se AFSPA laga hai. Itne saare missing persons, rape aur fake encounters. Just because tumhe azaadi ke fayede mile hain iska matlab ye nahi hai ki humne apni country mein bahut se logon ko voh azaadi nahi enjoy karne di hai. Hum aisi country hain jahan aaj bhi dalit sewer mein utar kar humari tatti saaf karne ke liye majboor hai, aur unki fatality rate humare soldiers ki fatality rates se jyada hai. Toh thoda apne bubble se bahar aao aur dekho unki bhi halaat jinko humne apne democratic achievements aur jo thodi bahut prosperity hui hai uska hissa nahi banaya hai. Aur kyunki hum apparently ek democracy hain unke iss haal ki collective responsibility hum logon par hai jinko desh aazad hone ka fayeda hua hai.
