It breaks my heart to see those beautiful dancers crying. After an amazing performance like that they deserve to just be proud of the incredibly hard work they've done and the thousands of dancers, me included, who are inspired by what they do. I get the attraction of competing, but having been a competitive figure skater myself for 14 years, I also get how it can mess with you. Art is about sharing, not about who's best at it.

I'm gobsmacked that Geobels style just changes at a moments notice, even though this is old the young ones such as bubblegum are not ready to change up at a last minute type scenario but in the long run it keeps them on their toes and also makes them more easily adaptable to any problems that arise or to any dance routines that need changing. So unique.

I know this is old and I've seen the performance 100 times but these behind the scenes really give us so much. When we see the final performance you get a feel because they are hitting hard and smooth but with this, I got chills like I wanted to cry. When you see a great final performance it's easy to forget they didn't just wake up and do that..they beat their bodies up and they put it all in. The worry on the girls faces when it was taking so long for them to place is something we don't see when they are going hard...and the expression on the male dancers face at around 7:45, I felt that. Letting everyone know WE'RE HERE. 👏 I know we all love watching choreo videos but the amount of work it takes to get there and the emotion behind is all is something so underappreciated "We're going to go back and give the little ones our medals because they deserve it" 😭

I don't know much about the dance world but I am an opera singer and I know that getting lots of sleep makes me perform a lot better. There's no arguing that the routines were bomb af and that your dancers are sooo talented but maybe they were overworked and simply exhausted. The mistakes in the performance were probably just from lack of sleep and/or making last minute changes to choreography. Like I said I'm not a dancer so idk if that's just what the dance world is like but it doesn't seem healthy.

I agree be proud of your nation, but try and understand that the royal family have set a high bar for themselves to succeed, and what you are seeing is plain disappointed, because they got beaten by a better team, as second place to them pretty much means nothing to them , as there standard is to win, it's there competitive nature., that is what your witnessing from the royal family ,just disappointment that's all,if you watch back you see them acknowledging that the Korean team were a dark horse to win , that's respect.

I have been following this competition remotely since 2005, witnessing the first participation of Request and the emergence of other groups and incredible stories before and after them. I am a great admirer of this team. My dream is to be on that stage one day with my crew, but I have never won the national competition :/. I wasn't aware of this documentary; I stumbled upon it today by chance, and the intensity with which things unfold from the auditions to the stage is truly something that makes a team a global reference. And rest assured, most of those competing there have gone through a similar process (remember that the group that surpassed the Kings went on to win the world championship, so it was already a tough competition). It breaks our hearts to see the young ones saddened by the outcome and the expectation, but remember that there were hundreds of others from around the world feeling the same way. In a competition of this magnitude, everyone is special and no one is special, and the hardest part is that only one can win. And each one for their own merits. I was following that day live online, and when I saw the Korean group, I thought, "They are delivering what the event's rules demand: diversity of styles, cleanliness, dynamics, personality, confidence, likability... but it will be impossible to surpass RF's energy, such a pity because I would see justice if Lock'n Lol won...". Indeed, they didn't surpass in that aspect, but I believe the judges were seeking the roots of the event, the original styles, and notice that it became a trend in the following years, just as RF changed the event's landscape when they won the group competition in 2010, and many tried to replicate their identity. It is a legacy that endures to this day. We cannot take away the merits of Lock'n Lol for "coming out of nowhere"; they also have a story that people simply don't know. They made an effort, believed in their paradigms, and had qualities that warranted their victory through their work, beyond the individual mistakes observed in RF's performance (which I didn't even notice, hehehe, that is still the best RF choreography for me) all was about the moment of each one of them. Success to The Palace and all their achievements since then!

I don't know why it hurts. But like, yeah everyone aims for the top and other teams are definitely gutted that they didn't make the podium as well. Just because your reputation and expectations are high doesn't mean it means any less if you place 2nd or 3rd, the country is still proud to be represented at a high level. Idk that's just me though, be proud of any accomplishment. And it's good to not come first sometimes.

I understand it sucks to not come in first, but seeing RF sulk and take out their phones while third place was cheering and throwing high fives up for first placers made RF look like sore losers. Sulk later, and congratulate your cohorts! That being said, I enjoyed RF's set a lot more than Lock and Lol, but Lock and Lol's set was indeed immensely clean. (edit: fixed some typos)

It's Lock N Lol. I kinda agree with you though. But then again maybe it's because they were tired from practicing for so long.....plus they won three times in a row and then suddenly lost to a group who just came out of nowhere...I guess that just sort of worsen the condition. This is just my opinion though.
