I don't know if I have time now, but I would love to do some of these Junk Journals. I love the look. I have some old books that are from the 1800s. They are old Bible commentaries with personal writing inside. But once when we were away from home our dog chewed the binders. Horse glue you know!!!... Also, some old Readers Digest hard covered books that were my mothers. I have used them to decorate with setting vases and other things on them. But you have given me a new idea. We will be moving so now they are packed away! ... Have you ever thought of using old Paper Dolls? ... I have a set that my sister found on eBay. They are a set called "Star Babies" ... I would never use them for this because we as children bought so many sets of them. One of my other sisters also found some. but if I could find more are any that I would find at garage sales. I would want them to be passed on to my grandkids. Love this idea!! You are so natural and downhome person, I love that!! ... thank you for entertaining me tonight!

Ohhhh I love the idea of using a canceled stamp/postmark in a journal. So fun! I do love punching circles, but I hadn't considered doing what you did...punchin circles out of scraps, magazine pages, and other fun patterns and papers. Thanks for the inspiration!

I did something like this in my journal a few months ago but I used a regular hole punch. First, I punched out a book page all the way around and saved the dots. Then I made a journal card and used the punched book page and later I used the dots frame a picture that I’d painted on the back of an index card. Both of them came out really good and I was very pleased with them.

Hello Pam, I'm so sorry that you have to shun Holly, yeah I've seen some of the comments - I personally think they are rude. Anyway, I love this project - now I know how to use even my tiny punches, I have butterflies, dragonflies & flowers and leaves. I also have 2 sizes of circles just not the large one you've used before, but I know how to make that size. I also have a hexagon shape punch which would make a nice border too. Light a peppermint candle or put on some peppermint essential oil and that should protect you. I also hear mosquitoes don’t like the smell of vanilla. 🤷🏻‍♀️ at least if it doesn’t stop the mosquitoes you’ll smell good.
