I paint with watercolours a lot and to be honest your pallet was fine, they always stay ‘dirty’ because you can just restart the watercolours you left on the pallet with a little water. That way you don’t waste any paint. Nothing to be ashamed of 😄

I’ve found that for those that “can’t paint”... get a child’s Simple coloring book, cut out the pictures & use them or use them for a pattern! You can do it!!! It’s fun!

When you said at the first,don't make fun of my bird, I was thinking, wow she draws pretty birds. It's all in the eye of he beholder. I have done the patchwork pages and I have painted on a page and now I will painting on a patchwork page. Why hasn't it occurred for me to do this? Saw that long handle brush and immediate said (yes, out loud): You’ll poke your eye out! Those things are dangerous in close quarters. 🤣 I knocked my eyeglasses off with a similar brush. I like these ideas a lot. I think they would be a great way to reinforce the ugly side of a magazine page. Also, I one of my favorite things was the accident, where the back page of the book stuck to the tape. I want to try that on a bigger scale and see how it turns out. Maybe I can use that to add lines for writing.

I craft in my PJs/house clothes everyday, all day. I can get as messy as I want with my stuff, and I don't worry about glue, dye, rips, etc.! I love it. It makes it more comfortable. I have glue and dye all over my clothes.

I have found that a hole reinforcer inked with the same ink and stuck on top works wonderful. Stays put.

Gouache is an opaque watercolor. Even if dried in tubes, they and watercolors can be saved. But dried up in tubes, etc of acrylic paint or oil paints, they are done, just toss cause their ain't no way of bringing them back to life. If that tube of paint that rattled and was dry that you threw away was watercolor or gouache, you can open up the metal tube and put the bits into a pallette. You will be able to reactivate them enough with a wet brush to still use the paint.

Oh my goodness, this makes my heart so happy! I have your videos on auto play while I am attempting to jump start my creative brain, half listening to them, I finish the artsy-junk journal I am making for a friend and glance up to see THIS!!! And it is EXACTLY what I have been searching for (without knowing it) because all I really have are book pages, scraps of torn magazines, junk mail, markers and paint that I picked up at the thrift store...I have been in such a creative funk because I do not currently have the (financial) ability to make my books PRETTY like yours always turn out to be... stuck in the rut of "can't do nothin' with this" brain....
