My entire family including extended don't like my journals...I don't care. It has been my life saver. When stress/anxiety invade my world, I pour myself into junking/trash journaling and I can deal with anything! Thank you Pam, my world rocks, your quick and easy ideas fill a lot of my journals.

Hi Trish - honestly, I would not let other's feelings impact your creativity and how much you enjoy making something that has your emotions in it. Not everyone can wrap their thoughts around inspiration from others. Keep making your journals, enjoy the time you spend bringing forth your feelings and creativity, and know all of us in this thread, I am sure, if we saw them, would find your journals lovely and meaningful. Hugs, Lynn

True, not everyone gets junk journals. When in doubt let the one receiving it that if it's not their thing no hard feelings you will gladly take it back to gift it to someone else. I have asked some people I was not sure of their taste and it was also done the other way around by friends/family. It puts everyone at ease this way and less hurt feelings. "Thank God" we have different tastes. "Vive la Différence". Love your videos. TYFS

I really really like that you don't sponsor any product...you just use what works. Also, I like that you get right to work, show us the prototype(s) and don't spend time on mail that you have received. I always think when I hear what was sent to someone...how does that help me? You don't waste our time. I love your chat as I find I literally LOL and last but not least, a day without Sunny is like a day without Sunshine. The birds were my favs until you got that precious dog! Thank you, Pam, for being you. BTW...The pickle icon that is next to my comment was selected by my granddaughter, Alex...she changes all kinds of things on my computer and I just have to live with them...because I don't have time to mess with changing them unless I give up crafting time...and I'm not willing to do that. Bye, for now...

Love this, Pam.😍 To the lady that gave an unappreciated gift to someone. I learned long ago to be careful who got my work. I have done lots of crafts through the years and they only go to the person who will value them. Pam is right saying it may be discovered later and appreciated, so there you go. Please don't let it slow you down even if you are a little hurt. You are doing this for your own pleasure. So share and go on to bigger and better things. 😉

In knitting, we say that some people aren’t knit-worthy. They don’t appreciate the hours that go into knitting something-I’ve seen things I made end up in thrift stores. So there are people I no longer knit for. I’d feel the same way about junk journals. These are a great way to use up scraps and book pages. Sunny gets cuter every day!

Thank you for addressing the unappreciated work that is put into any kind of art. We as crafters need to hear this from another well lived junk journal maker. I have made a few started a few years ago to heal my broken soul. But haven’t given any away yet. I’ve been afraid of the response from others. Worried they wouldn’t find them good or pretty or “ perfect”. This has given me new light. Thank you for sharing the let it go. It was a gift of love. They can choose to do what ever they like with it. But it was a gift none the less. I enjoy watching and going along for the projects you make. Thank you for sharing and adding to our light in journaling. 🥰

Easy peasy project. To the subby that had an ungrateful recipient I say don't waste your efforts on making them anything in the future (my oldest son is such a person, he will regret this someday when I'm dead and gone and will have no one to blame but himself. Now my grandkids for the most part love Grandma's hand made gifts, so they get stuff all the time (I have them brainwashed 😁. But in truth, I have told them...every minute I spend making you stuff means I'm thinking only of you...and they like that thought. So don't worry about the naysayers, give to those who appreciate your efforts. TFS Pam. Have a great day.

Not everyone understands the heart of a maker. I did a cross stitch piece for my mother and she threw it to one side with a derogatory comment. After that, I decided that the making of anything is for my benefit. If the person who receives it doesn't value it, it is on them. I've had the pleasure and blessing of making something. My immediate family love what I make even though my work is very average. I love my work for the therapeutic value it has. Thank you Pam for the wonderful channel and fb group.

Pam, I just send people to your channel to learn what a Junk Journal is actually suppose to be. They will be able to understand by watching your videos. The receiver of one may try to purchase a journal from you and could even begin to make journals themselves. I do use your letter as well. I've only made one as a present, but I will continue to handle it this way. I would never give a real junkie journal away though. He was a rescue, so even after having him for over 9 years he is still shy. My job is to spoil him. He helped me when we lost my husband. Love the shingle idea. Important aesthetic More i think, the more I am so glad you spoke to it I have dealt with it on a broader sense as a minor artist, which at times has included my sense of worth. When i met a pro artist , Mandy Greer, and she spoke to it majorly as she put her actual art into the universe, it was astounding to realize how much the whole issue reverberates. v.good to hear you speak to it in your cheerful voice, both actual and philosophical. I crochet and quilt and put all my extra blankets, sweaters and things on a cabinet in my guest room. Visiting family and friends are free to use them and take one home. One friend who stayed loved a blanket that I would never in a million years have picked for her. Sometimes I will be showing a work in progress and someone loves it. I ask do you want it for your birthday/Christmas? Once and awhile I clear out the stash and donate to a local charity, but my daughters have stacks and stacks in their homes, they usually snag two or three. I think I'll apply this same method with my journals, they will have to ask for one.
