Episode 2 - Nature Spirits

This is not a show on saving the environment. But it is about living in peace and harmony with the unseen realm, which we believe is there but can’t really prove it. Through this episode, the audience learns and experiences through Li Kim that Nature Spirits are part of us because we are all part of nature. Shot in the middle of the night at Jeram Besu, Pahang, this episode shows Li Kim and The Paranormal Zone crew communicating with nature spirits.

Talking about nature spirits (Orang Bunian, Datuk Kong, Hantu Galah, Nymphs, Pontianak, Langsuir, etc), I have had one unforgettable hiking experience back in the 2000s. It was an afternoon hiking @ the hills behind Ayer Itam Dam when it suddenly started to rain at about 4pm. The hiking path was getting darker by the minutes as it rained relentlessly & I decided to hike downhill. There was a spot where the path had to meander around the hill terrain where many big boulders sat among a stream. As it was shady, I decided to take refuge just around that rocky spot. I could hear clearly the pitter-patter of rain drops on the leaves around me which I quite enjoy as a respite. Then the unexpected happened. The pitter-patter slowly 'morphed' into voices of a multitude of females that approached nearer & nearer, sort of like fast chit-chatting in an unknown language. I held myself calmly to define what I just heard & to make sure of its nature. My instinct told me to leave immediately as my hairs began to stand on ends. I ran from the shady spot even if I had to be drenched to my underwear! This is just one of my numerous jungle spirit encounters during my hiking & exploration of our Malaya Sattra.

I have hiked in the forest at night. It wasn't intentional however, it was not scary. Staying in the place we had intended to camp was scary which is why we kept hiking through late into the night. The original intended camping area sent a cold chill through our spine... we knew it was not welcoming. we hiked over 12 hours that day/night and 28 miles all together but were very grateful for our intuition. We later learned that other hikers that day ahead of us also had a cold feeling there and also continued through.

The shadow is passing clouds cast by the moon, as for the leaves or plant waving without the aid of wind, some plant species do have the ability to wave or a short period. The bright white image in video is insect being too closed to the camera lens.

I am surprised you were not swamped with a whole array of blood sucking insects so prevalent in the tropics, wrrr! Never mind the spooks, that I can live with. The heat, humidity and the variety of blood sucking and stinging insects I can do without!
